Also let me check. If a woman goes off on full maternity leave from a business. Does her position in the company remain empty or does the company replace the female worker.

Just imagine if you ran a business - husband and wife job - wife gets preggo - and well lets just say .... about three months before she was due to give birth she all of a sudden gets a huge payrise. Has a baby gets what again, how long is she off on full wage.
