Not one to troll their forum, bait and bag old mates who have schooled us for years, but privately, as a lifer sharks fan through thick and thin, it is a delight.

I'm talking of all the times the club has nearly fallen over, and the calls for us to be kicked out.
The 80's was an extremely close call, the NSWRL took Newtown and Wests, we got lucky. the 90's we got saved by Gow and bringing in Richo, Langy and Super League.
00's Anderson, Roper and Stuart drama-eras, followed by ASADA and Flanno. Even after we won the comp, Gorman and his snake oil.
The memories from child/teen years until now are still very strong.
It wasn't just Dragons supporters that ran us down, they came from every club to kick us out at some time. The most vile supporters were probably from Souths, which considering their time in the wilderness was surprising.
I just won't do what others did to us, run them down when they already feel like shit.
When it comes to games playing against that's a different story, but not a whole club when it's going through a process.
The Tigers have been worse in this time frame, Newcastle and Titans too, Warriors...
I suppose i see that it could be us again at any given time.
I'm thanking right now that Mace, Dino, Fitz and Moons are in control. It's the most solid our club has ever been.

Oh yeah totally agree with everything you have said. Just somehow despite it all we seem to pull our shit together and make the finals more often than not in the last 20 years.

If we had all the things you mentioned and those results we'd be goooone

The Goons have been mismanaged for a very long time by their upper management, and it shows in their performance.
It only took a big man in Bennett to arrest the power away and he turned them into a powerhouse. They've been crap ever since.

I agree Bubs !I feel confident in saying ,even Stain supporters I've known for years as friends and colleagues never showed an ounce of sympathy when sharks were on the ropes and would not have given a shite if sharks went under and saints got the spoils . Well that makes you a better person than me OR any stains fan I've known . And I'm glad there's still people in this world strong enough to not hold grudges. You make world a little better rather than worse,i guess but.... I do try but .... jeeze .... its the dragons !
