Well he's been playing ordinary so he should be nervous.

If he was still in dally m form he'd be sweet.

seriously how many second chances does carney want? he was unwanted by everyone after his antics at the raiders the roosters take a punt on him and this is how he repays them? damaged goods imo

Todd Carney makes Tim Smith look like a choir boy, yet Todd still seems to end up coming out of each fiasco smelling like roses. After some more creative PR, I have no doubt the media darling will get yet another chance. I guess the media picks and chooses their heroes and villians these days.

with the salary cap these days having a grab in the sacked player lucky dip isnt as dumb as it sounds you pay them peanuts (compared to their former salary) so if they are a dud you get some cheap depth and if they come good you get a marquee player on the cheap

Roosters aren't going to sack him
They stood him down for a few games earlier in the year, and there's only a few games left for them this season.

Which means they might have a think about cutting him loose and going after another halves option for 2012, rather than just standing him down and reinstating him again for Round 1 next year?

A known disciplinarian Smith obviously can't control the playing squad there, in the same way he lost control of ours prior to standing down. Will be interesting to see how it all plays out...
