Come on down Morts.

Give Todd the keys to the bar at the Leagues Club and tell him to be there for Round 1 next year.

If its true, we would be idiots to not express an interest in Carney. How often do quality halves come free? If we can get him cheap and get a season out of him -- great.

They SACKED him...How did the Eels handle Tim Smith?

Lol...same old tune pete, comparing totally different situations again.

They sacked him after repeated breaches (many of which never made the papers) and several arrests. And only after he himself refused yet another chance!!! He got away with murder down here mate. One of these days the Raiders boys week to week antics will be scrutinised the same way Sydney clubs are, and I guarantee you the smell around them won't be at all rosy...

To quote Ned Kelly "Such is life".
Ain't nothing I can do about it...
Was Carney sacked by the Raiders? Was Monaghan sacked by the Raiders? Was Tim Smith sacked by the Eels? Just wondering!!!.
My opinion is this 'once a dickhead always a dickhead'. After being a publican for over 20 years I can sure spot a 'dickhead'...and they never change...NEVER.

I think the Roosters would be better off without him, to be honest. They are a club with some much-publicised culture problems in recent years and Carney is not the type of guy that will help right that ship. Sadly, I think he has a major problem. I don't think he can stay out of trouble. I don't care how talented he can be at times, I'd prefer not to have him at the Eels either.

Carney's problem is that he's a sheep who wants to fit in...at Canberra he was lead astray by other members of the club (and I'm not talking about scapegoat Steve Irwin, the poor bastard who had his career ruined by the Raiders for no reason), at the Roosters he's been lead astray by other members of the club. If he is to continue as a footballer, he really needs to be doing it at a club with a good off field record and senior players to take him under their wing.

Cheating aside I reckon Melbourne would be a great environment for him...but yeah, I can't see his career really going anywhere further unless a club like that takes a punt on him
