An absolute shame & tragedy (her poor family - how gut wrenching). The Royals are massive over there, so this was a big deal. Bigger than these two who obviously didn't want this end result but hey, they'll have to live with it now.

I could go on for hours about bloody modern commercial radio. I don't know if you live in the city or what, but even out in the bush centres they all try to have a "local" funky dude and dudette combo. It is cringeworthy stuff.

Years ago one got the sack up here after going on air and reading a very offensive racial email going around at the time.... you know.... the crap stuff like "The best coon is a ???"

Anyhow the radio station was inundated with complaints... her excuse was she was only reading an email. Of course she didn't know at the time the fireworks that it would invoke - - - Yeah right.

She ended up getting run out of the town. She thought she was an untouchable local seee-leb-rerteee.

One goose radioman up here decided overnight that he was going to be Rockys answer to Shockjock radio and become our very own Alan Jones. It was embarrassing at the least.

I stream my radio via computer now when I need to listen to something. Got to love the internet.

You've got to feel sorry for the Nurse's family, she had two kids. And so close to Christmas.

Have you listened to the call? Anyone with half a brain would know that it wasn't the queen or the corgis. I can't believe how much this has been blown up. It was a radio prank ffs.

Again, sympathy for the nurse's family - no-one should have to go through this pain especially at this time of year.

I love a joke as much as any Aussie, it's in our DNA...I'm not much of a royalist either as if Kate is the only woman on the planet who is suffering from morning sickness, I feel sorry for the nurse she is the real victim in this sorry saga, Also I can't believe anyone will commit suicide over a prank call, she may had other issues to deal with in her life who knows...

Plenty of Kyle and Jackie O's pranks have been offensive. Who knows what the consequences will be?

Then again, I saw 2 pranks from Brazil on you tube that could have caused a heart attack. One was ghosts in an elevator. The other was removing a sheet off a patient in a dark room , who turned out to be the exorcist. Funny but scary.

There's more to this than meets the eye for sure and certain. Some of it makes no sense. This nurse that has allegedly suicided hasn't been pegged as having disclosed any health information. So why would she neck herself over it? It was the other stupid bint that gave out the health info supposedly. Stupidly too I might add. UK law is the same as Oz law in this AFAIR and it wouldn't matter who was on the end of the phone you can NOT give out any health info.

Maybe the "receptionist" nurse was being scapegoated for putting the call through to the ward?

I await more with anticipation.
