O.T Should John Lang get sacked?

Has coached Souths for one season already and the Club splashed out big with the signing of Greg Inglis.

This signing was to be the "cherry on top" of a roster that many predicted would guarantee Souths making the Grand Final this season.

After last nights game they are 2 wins from 6 games.

Should John Lang be sacked?

Coaches who are finishing in the current year never get sacked. 2 from 6 is an ordinary result however that team have been hard hit by injuries. They played hard last night & guys who have played zero football in years like Crocker & Ross are really starting to find some rythm. With no origin representation except for Inglis I expect they will make a move through the origin period

Not looking good for him is it? On pure performances yes he should. With all the other factors tossed in, maybe not.

They lacked brains at crucial times last night. The obvious Wesser howler, then a couple of follow up mistakes as he tried to make up for his first. GI is as frustrated as I have ever seen a footballer. Sutton just wont give him the ball. No wonder he is defending the way he is. That's all he is doing.

I am not sure its the game plan that is the problem. They seem to have ample time to win that game. The Stats at half time with the exception of completions were in Soufs favour. So sumpin else is going on.

On things for sure I feel happier following the Sharks at the moment.

nah.

you could fix souths in 2 moves.

1. get rid of sutton. he sucks. he's a passenger when the game is there to be won, his kicking game is terrible, he's a bad ball player and quite frankly he's lazy.
Move Inglis to 5/8

2. Boot wesser, Merrit to fullback. Someone from TC or the bench on the wing.

Sandow played quite well bar the chip and chase.

Sutton..where the f**k was he?

I have a sneaky suspicion that we might play them back into form in a couple of weeks.

Gawddd I hope I am wrong.

I expect Souths will be big movers come origin time as well, but I get the feeling big Dave Taylor might accompany Inglis in the QLD team Reefy.
Other than that, i think they have a nice easy run during the period.

Love to know how many of their team are actually eligible for Origin. A lot of islanders in that squad

I dont think taylor on current form will be picked.

True, but QLD have a nack of picking players who performed for them the year before.
Its probably the reason Ash Harrison will keep his spot over someone like Parker/Johnson.

Firstly, The Sharks are unlucky to only have 2 wins and are playing good tough footy bar the first game, I think they are capable of stringing a few wins together very soon.

Secondly, Taylor runs crab like and is not playing well at all and if you look to see how often he has a hitup in his own 20 to get out of trouble it is very rare he leaves it to others. he runs his supports out of room down the other end. The other week he blew a try when he passed to the touchy and ended up over the line and in the corner so how does he expect a winger to score when he runs them out of room. he is only a profile in the attacking 20 m and not where needed.

St.George have had the same if not more injuries.

How have they gone this year?

For the record I don't think he should be sacked.

Even though he has used his bench poorly and made poor selections in the team.

The team can still make the finals so why sack him?

You don't win the Premiership in April.

No point sacking him as they would have to pay him out and couldnt get anyone better for whats left of 2011.

Heres a question for DS.
IF Souths beat the Sharks, should flanno be sacked @ 2 from 8?

Why?

The expectations for the team this year from all quarters was that we would run last and there would be daylight to second last.

Flanagan's expectations are that we should make the 8.
He has to have those expectations.
Anything less would give a negative perception.

We can still make the 8 with a 2-6 record so why sack for those reasons.

Why sack another coach and payout money you don't have.

Why sack a coach who hasn't even completed a full season with the team in his rookie year?

Why sack a coach that has had this team competitive enough to have with a bit of luck a 5-1 or 4-2 winning record with a much maligned team to work with?

Your thoughts are just crazy.
