Batsmen have it way too easy these days. Stronger bats, combined with matches played on predominantly flat pitches and shortened boundaries, batting powerplays and only 4 men allowed outside the circle in the final overs (compared to 5) have taken the gloss off ODIs and the advantage weighs too heavily in the batsmans favour, leading to more 250-300+ scores from the team batting first.

Today will be a little bit more interesting with the inclement weather around.
