I can see why Inu can upset people -- supremely talented, and super relaxed -- he makes it look so easy. But that's what natural talent is -- making the difficult look easily achievable. I'm happy to take him as he is -- a kid who can play some amazing football and win you a game, or a guy who might have a shocker and cost you one. Every player has has peaks and troughs in both performance, attitude, fitness... IMO, Krisnan's demeanour makes him a more obvious target. However, I think it worthy to point out that he has been a significant contributor to two GF teams in the past three seasons, and he almost exclusively destroyed his opposite every week when it mattered -- the other season was marred by a team at odds with their coach. I hope he nails down a centre spot for us. But I hope Omar, Konrad, whoever else are chomping at his heels, too. He seems like a nice bloke, which goes a long way in my books too.

Rich -- what's all this Hopoate carry-on? Did you miss the Parra news, or do you have something we don't know?

No mate.
It was a flippant comment based on the stick he was getting for turning his back on football. (And laughing all the way to the bank.)

I can see both sides of the Inu thing. The guy is hugely talented but frustratingly casual. Be interesting to see what Bluey can do with him. He needs a coach who can motivate him - I hope it happens here. Because if not I can see him moving elsewhere and coming back to haunt us.

Frustrating thing is League is a team sport but played by individuals. And not everybody marches to the same drum. It must be a very stressful occupation and I won't condemn him for taking time out if he feels he needs it.

Just as an aside - does anyone know if the Warrior's asked Inu to skip the Kiwi's tour?

Personal reasons, was the only thing cited. He hasn't undergone any surgery, wasn't nursing any injuries (that I know of) and didn't play the whole season. If they let the likes of Locke/Matulino/Brown etc go, you'd think there was no drama with Inu.

One big difference.
The others wanted to go. Inu didn't.

neither did Sam Rapira in the past
nor frank pritchard (who picked when he wanted to play)

obviously nor Brent Webb. . .
nor did Tawera Nikau

if truth be told . . .. there might be a massive list
sometimes there other more pressing issues for football players, or sometimes they need time out

no need to persecute inu
though he does make it easy

I still have some faith in the Inu, but it has dwindled. Fingers crossed that he has a blinder in 2012. We need him to...
