0.62 try assists per game in 2023 regular season, according to zerotackle, exact same as Dally M Centre of the Year Stephen Crichton and far better than the 0.13 of the other Dally M Centre, Herbie Farnworth ;)
Hey don't bring any of this stats malarkey into it. ;)

TBH, I'd love a Herbie Farnsworth at the Warriors.

My attempt fwiw

1. RTS
2. Manu
3. Toopi
4. Tate
5. Meli
6. Maloney
7. Jones
8. AFB
9. Marsh
10. Price (c)
11. Ali
12. Mannering
13. Harris

14. Hohaia
15. Matulino
16. Lillyman
17. Barnett

I like size on a bench, and Matulino and Barnett can both play on an edge

Unlucky imo, Johnson, Luck (gave everything for the club), McKinnon (his peak was brilliant as I recall), Hoppe, Seuseu

Interesting, I like him, but hasn't convinced coaches - I think Warriors fans expect flashy centres, despite Toopi and Vagana aside not really every having any - imagine how we'd gush over someone like Crichton

Berry does a job, I'd like to see him in the team consistently

Was pretty unlucky with injuries in 2024. Seemed to be first choice when fit, though.

Yeah, I was going to say he seems to be a favourite of the coaches. Considering how many matches he has already and his time out with injury he clearly gets selected when available.

Francis Molo refusing to turn up to Dragons training because he wants out

Must be managed by the same dog that managed Blake Green

So, I've been jibber jabbering without naming my team, so here goes:

1. RTS
2. Manu
3. Toopi
4. N Vagana
5. Hoppe
6. Maloney
7. Jones
8. AFB
9. Marsh
10. Price (c)
11. Ali
12. Mannering
13. Luck

14. Hohaia
15. Matulino
16. J Vagana
17. Harris

Coach: Anderson before he fell out with Jones.
Manager: Dean Bell, along with Olsen Filipaina was my favourite player back in the day. His first year captaincy was essentially a managerial role by adding mana to the team.

If I couldn't split two players then I went with the NZer.

I couldn't leave Luck out. He was just too good for us. I know this contradicts the previous rule, but Luck style means he needs to start and Tohu can add impact from the bench. I follow @Manu Vatuvei reasoning for not including Campion.

Toughest decision was Meli missing out, but Hoppe played in a less successful era for the Warriors and always performed.

Hooker proved more difficult that I expected. Almost went back to Eru but PJ elevated the team when he was around.

Liillyman the other unlucky guy. Barnett was never going to make this team, but in a few years time he might.

Dylan Brown asking for 1.2mil per season

You’re past the point of being paid on potential now son, time to actually deliver something
It's the economics of scarcity, however.

Same reason Chad Townsend got paid $900k at the Cows, although arguably Chad had more runs on the board. See also, Hunt, B.

Zero Tackle says the Dogs have signed Leo Thompson for $825k per season, for four years. Same deal.

Some teams are going to pay overs for players in key positions and with some level of potential to them - whether it's lack of consistency, off field issues or whatever holding them back - especially outside of the Panthers, Storm etc. That'll never change.
