Off to the Mountain and remembering

Just a note to let you all know, I am most probably not going to be on this board between Thursday and Monday as I will be going out to Bathurst.

I do so with a huge amount of joy and excitement as I love this race, but also a tinge of Sadness, thinking so. . It must be two years.

Two years since that night that HJ and I were talking about Bathurst on the official eels board baiting each other on Ford and Holden, little did we know we were losing a couple of friends.

I know a number of people here still shed a tear when they hear a song or visit the grave.

Is it the sadness of never seeing them again, or the tragedy of their deaths, I don't know.

I do remember this; I had a conversation online Sept 13 2001, in regards to going to the World Club Challenge if we won the Grand Final. A few people said they were too scared to go, but not Madam.

Madam said that if we felt this fear they will have won. I agree and spoke such words to a religious gathering the Sunday of her memorial.

All I know is this, when I die, what ever happens next, be it my sub-conscious calming my conscious mind, or I do truly go to Subrosa, I know I will see them again.

To the Morning and Evening Stars, all my love.

I think everyone knows my thoughts as well regarding Madam and Lizzy.
I still truly miss them.
I still think about them.

They will NEVER EVER be forgotten.

Well said. Did something horrific happen?

we lost 2 friends MADAM [Dimmy] and her Sister Liz in Bali, MADAM was a massive Parra fan and valuble contributer to the official website message board. Friends to us all, now and forever.

dammit mark, i thought this was a bathurst thread and never looked at it!!!! #-o

the world lost a light when we lost those two girls. they could make anything too sad seem fun. i often think about them when my circle of friends (eela, nikks, hells, rowdy and all) and i get too serious. i thought about dimmy when andrew ryan held that trophy high last sunday, and i thought about lizzy when i was talking to daniel wagon last night.... its been 2 years and they sneak their way into your every thought

it doesn't seem like 2 years.

but i guess it won't feel like 5 or 10 when that happens either.

everyone should spare a thought for them on tuesday

It sure won't... Rosie and I went and saw the girls today with the Eels and Saints footy atop of their respective graves. Flowers were a plenty so I imagine others have been out there recently too....

The girls will never be forgotten, one thing NO ONE can ever take the girls from our hearts and our memories!!!!

Geez, that Ozemail Falcon went better on it's roof than it did on the 4 wheels!!!!

It is good to see the Ford Fly all the way to the back of the tilt tray.......

Yeah and a good tactical lucky win to the K Mart 15 Commodore, Pitty no other Commodores could make it onto the lead lap.

If MURPH lost it on the last lap, it would have been a Falcon 1-6.

But if it wasn't for the Old Fart's car being in the wrong place on the track the OzEmail Falcon #21 would still be going.

well its morning. and so far im numb, it can't be two years since we lost them. i've barely cried, but i can barely think.

To all my friends, who like me, lost two girls they care about, i wish the best for you today. keep your head up and remember that dimmy and lizzy weren't much for crying. remember that we are all in the same boat, so a shoulder is never far. but most of all remember how much fun we all had, and how we were blessed to have them while we did.

this one quote always makes me smile. Dimmy and i were watching a touch game, the parra boys vs some lucky fans. Dimmy sits back and says to me with that cheeky look

typical Madam said:
Touch football ay? i could play Touch football with those boys. TOUCH!! TOUCH!!
