Oakland have signed the following UFAs

Jake Murphy, TE Utah

George Atkinson III, RB Notre Dame

Danny Kistler, OL Montana

D.J. Coles, WR Virginia Tech

Mike Davis, WR Texas

Hopefully theres a star in amongst that lot. We have seen how well Reggie dismantled the franchise, now is the time we see how well he does in building it back up.

I wonder how many of these 'good picks' from rnd 3 onwards barely play a snap in the NFL.

My guess is 50%.

A good pick at that point is just a guy who has a genuine chance to be a contributor. Be on specialist plays, base formations, special teams or what ever. I think there is a few roster spots to be filled on day 3, teams that find specific fits for specific roles will find themselves with a good deep team

I think it's pretty obvious we are going to be a run first grinding type of team.

If McFadden and MJD can stay fit... We certainly have the RBs.

And Schaub worked his best in Houston off the PA...

They key will be getting the run game working effectively...

I agree.

I'd just like to see some stats on the careers of guys picked on days 2 and particularly 3.

I just like the storylines the Draft creates. Those guys who make a go of it, those who fail and those who become stars.

It is all very intriguing and really well reported which helps

Quite pleased with the Steelers draft haul, a lot of size and speed added. Thought they could have gone CB earlier but the front 7 will have 6 1st/2nd rounders once Shazier and Tuitt slot in, Polamalu can go back to his usual safety role. Things are looking up.

Seems like we rated the CB class higher than most

So is it time for fantasy drafts yet ;)

Joe Don Duncan to the Pats is one to watch, he can catch and rumble his way down field really well.

Panthers UDFA:
Texas CB Carrington Byndom
Ohio State WR Corey Brown
Montreal Carabins OL David Foucault
Miami OL Jared Wheeler
Missouri WR Marcus Lucas
Michigan State Denicos Allen
West Virginia DL Shaq Rowell
Ohio State OL Andrew Norwell
UAB RB Darrin Reaves

hearing that Corey Brown and Denicos Allen are good enough to make it to the practice squad. I'm not going to pretend that I have any idea though.

Just straight up ignorance and bigotry.
The thing that angers me is they think he did it for attention and to get drafted higher, which is ridiculous.
If he doesn't come out, there's a chance he goes a little higher (he isn't an amazing prospect but he's a great leader, someone could have pulled the trigger earlier), however coming out means he's definitely not going early.
As far as I'm aware, he came out because the scouts were sniffing around his personal life and if those question marks were there he was going to go low anyway.
At least coming out now he's made it easier for someone else and so the scouts don't sniff around so much anymore.

Allen is definitely a good pick up, I like his game a lot

Michael Sam is in the same boat as Manziel for me. Couldn't give a f**k about his sexual orientation, each to his own, just sick of hearing about him. You could be mistaken for thinking there were only two players drafted this year.

Is this the kid that had a drug problem?
I'm glad he found somewhere, he was ok in high school with the right support network.
