If Beale is gone they have Farrell and Runciman to cover a centre spot. I still think Runciman will come good. Stilll young and if Matt Cooper thinks he has the goods then he should be pretty OK. I heard Coops give him a great rap and he said his strength was his defence. He can read the game well.

Is Matt Cooper still going to provide some sort of coaching/guidance to the outside backs like he did last season once Price left? If there is 1 man that would be able to train them to defend it is him. Not many better defensive centres than Coops when he was going around.

Green is nothing more then a back up.
Beale = $330k per year, Green = $110k per year.
Neither is spectacular, so a $220k per year saving does actually equal GREAT THINKING.

finally a true "triangle" player as they call it, instead of trying to manufacture one with Stanley..

True & he does go ok as well,keeps defenders on their toes.

Gee, you guys are really obsessed with Mata'utia. He is okay, but still very inexperienced. Only half as good as his brother Sione. Do you think he is hanging around beyond 2015? If not, then we should be wasting our time with him in first grade.

He showed ability at left centre at the back end if last year. Whether he stays beyond next year or not is irrelevant. If he is best for the spot then he has to play.

I tend to think you have a point. I have a feeling he will not stick around after his contract is up. Developing another player might be a better option.

I think he is overrated on here but to be fair he is the most experienced player in contention for the vacant left wing spot and will most likely get first shot at that spot.
