Well played by the Australian team.

Masterful strategic thinkers who always have the big picture on their mind.

Like the draw against he Solomon Islands to ensure NZ couldn't qualify for the world cup at soccer... Australia has pretty much ensured the stronger opponent can't make the final of the tri-nations.

Hysteria is abound, much like the 24-12 victory GB scored in the 2004 tri-nations....

We know what happened in the final...

Well played Australia... it's difficult to allow amatuer opposition look good against you without making it blatantly obivous you're throwing the game.

Thats the thing. Apart from the bottling of the Mason incidents, Klein was nigh on perfect. Sure there were a few genuine 50:50 calls like the offside under GB's sticks, but his control of the 10 and of Australia's constant messing at the play the ball was fantastic to see.

Australia have the players no doubt about that. All they need is some discipline. Take those penalties out and they would survive most of the GB pressure. Not when you are giving away a few hundred metres to penalties.

On the money!
Aussie is scared of Kiwis, pushed then to close in Melbourne and they only won due to a shepard play leading to a try!

Will watch with interest if Kiwis win in Wellington (by more than 11 points)next week how the selection of the Australian team goes!

I rememeber a similar situation occuring in a series in the 90's, Aussie lost to GB one week putting Kiwis out to win against GB the next week by 30points!

You Aussies are hilarious hypocites. You lose fairly and even when congratulating you still moan about the ref. Sorry its whinging isnt it.

Klein was awful only because Aus should have been down to 12 after 10 mins.

Mason bottled it when he had a stone cold try cos he shat his pants in a real game situation.

All of you that predicted 30+ points and a couple that said 60...apologise!

GB stayed disciplined and outmuscled Aus in the middle of the park.

All of you that talked trash after one GB performance... just eat it and admit you are wrong

The same thing happened in 2004 and Australia led the REAL game 38-0.
GB have won the wrong game!!

Give over, you can't do that in international football. Gasnier is gone, Mason is surely gone. If you are looking to throw a game you don't headhunt the key men in the opening stanza.

The changes didn't help Australia but the pack was battered and the kicking game was worse than amateur standard.

But the key thing for Australia was the ill discipline. Sort that out and they would have won.
