Hence the reason Smith is playing Witty at 5/8 in FD - grooming him to move into that role later in the year perhaps? ;-)

The number on the back of our players and where they play in attack and defence have no correlation at all.

Here are some of the things that I have noticed, some are real obvious.

Burt: I've seen him pack in at lock in a scrum. However, generally still a Fullback. Should hang around the forwards a bit more in attack like Hodgo in case Hindy or Caylo slips one out. That's what I missed most abt Hodgo's game, the Baa Baa backup.

Grothe/Lex : Rotates heaps.

Langi : Defends at 5/8th from scrums sometimes

Wagon : Definitely playing lock or 2nd row. He's hardly ever the 2nd receiver.

Dykes : Rotates between Halfback and Hooker. Very rarely 2nd receiver.

Props : Well not much change, always playing as props.

Caylo : Sometimes Hooker in scrums, 2nd row in attack running a little wide, I reckon he's the closest thing besides Morris to 5/8th. Seen him as 2nd receiver sometimes and sending the ball out wide to centres and wingers. Watch him close to the opposition line, he plays like a 5/8th sometimes. I really like his attacking game. Shades of Dean Pay. Now if only he can learn to kick. Defends as Prop or 2nd Row.

Hindy: Plays everywhere. Cleans up in defence. Pops up everywhere in attack. Nuff Said.

Morris: Hooker, 5/8th, halfback.

So I guess our players should wear numbers like this:

Dykes: 7,9
Morris: 9,6
Caylo: 8,12,6
Hindy: Infinity

We'll soon see, cause I thought Witt did a good job at halfback last year. Dont know how he'll go 5/8.

Can't picture that try.....but was Peterson forced to come in due to a MIA centre?

It was Walker's try. Muzza came in on the centre (like he tends to do) and the passed out to Donald. Donald went down field passed to inside support who in turn passed again through to Walker.....

He played that role in the last few games of the season once Dykes came back......

Hopefully ....... Brian will see sence and give Hindy and Caylo the weekend off.
Both will play their heart out for their country and if he plays them again on Sat the consequences could be mental fatigue for a couple of weeks.

keep em fresh !

I expect Hindy , Caylo and freshy Not to play and the team looking like last week with Muspratt into hooker and Morris at 5/8 with Wagon going to lock.

Dont be suprised to see Burty go to centre and Prince to Fullback as I think BS has finished with Muzza at centre experiment.

Anyone know what happened to young Brett Delaney from the Flegg Side ?
Is he injured ?? Must be as his name is not in the sides - any news ?

until Prince got injured he was playing the centres in Prems. I think Smithy will let both Nathan's make their own decisions and I think barring injury they'll both wanna play. They know they have a bye coming up in a few weeks (Even though Hindy will be playing for Country that week)
