violence is part of rugby league, the more punching the better, and dont forget good, old fashioned eye gouging and scrotum wrenching....

ah, those were the days...:D

that's what attracted you the game isn't it Ozbash?

Hmm last punch thrown by a Warrior. Does Ukuma's swinging arm count? It was pretty much an uppercut. But yeah I can't recall any "real" swings over the last 2 seasons?

...and what about punches?

Haha he got in a couple...pretty rank ones though.

Who was the other person sent off under Cleary's reign? Obviously Crockett 07, anyone got any ideas? I would say 1 or 2 of the sin bins were McKinnon but I don't remember him getting sent off..

Mannering (I Think) was the other one, for dropping his knees into a tackle, when he simply fell over, the ref seen something that simply was not there.

wow, don't remember that one. Sounds ridiculous though. Was that in 2009 perhaps?

JR - 31 Tackles?!
Price - 323m?!

Shux wouldn't mind seeing those stats tonight!

Lauaki with a double, 3 offloads, 2 linebreaks and 177m - must have been the best game of his career!

Yeah, it was the game that gave everyone expectation about him. If he had been able to replicate that form, or at least get near it consistently, he could have been anything.

Pretty sure Cleary would describe it as an "aberration".

I found Hame epically frustrating - had the raw power and talent to be an incredible player, but his overbearing thug nature just ruined his massive potential. Constantly being penalised and going for the cheap shot and getting sucked into mind games rather than concentrating on his own performance for the team - really irritating.

Haha, it was an aberration. That performance, amongst his career, defined aberration.

I remember that game like it was yesterday. Hame was unreal - one of those performances that would've demanded 3 points from all voters if it were now (Witt may've snuck a few, possibly, due to his clutch drop goal). As Devoid rightly said, it was a game that raised our expectations and they were never met.

Pricey was an 80-min prop back then, from memory?

Mmmm..Crockett definitely got sent off, we know that. Wikipedia (and I know that's a crap source) says McKinnon got sent off v Tigers.

You'd think I would have more pressing concerns on a work day, but I don't.
Mannering's was a sinbin. From that thread: http://forums.leagueunlimited.com/showpost.php?p=3631042&postcount=34. But because it happened in the 68th minute, it might as well have been a send-off. Kinda like Matulino's binning against the Drags (?).
