Tui shows some desperation to clean up a terrible pass from Toutai but the attack has stalled on the back of that play.

Kelly sends a flat kick crossfield to the right corner on the last. The chaser wasn't in place to contest for the ball but Wenty do get a second line drop out from it.

Wyong take a gamble from the drop out and catch Wenty napping as they find touch 10m out from the kick.

There were some napping players there and Wyong get the scrum.

Metres are hard to come by for Wenty this set as Wyong continually swarm them to restrict Wenty to their 35m mark on the last.

Kelly kicks it but the back three are well set and trap the ball quickly.

Massive release of pressure though as Justin Hunt gets under the ball in a tackle and forces it loose with his shoulder.

Wenty scrum 25m out from their goal line.

Straight forward set from Wenty which ends in another decent Kelly kick.

Wyong keep it simple in return as they ruck it up the middle. Nothing much seems to be on as a fifth tackle kick trickles in goals with Cummins and Faraimo seemingly in control of the situation.

Both watch it slowly roll towards the deadball line and miss the flying Wyong chaser who slams his hand down on it to score.

Poor, poor stuff there. Not much else to say really.

The conversion is taken from in front with ease.

Wyong lock the game up at 22-all

74min gone.

Maliota and Lasalo are back on.

McKinnon has absolutely nailed a Wyong runner. Amazing tackle.

Cummins bobbles the Wyong kick but keeps control of the ball to get the next set for Wenty udnerway.

Mailota and Lasalo make their presence known in the ruck immediately with good metres and second phase ball but Wenty get lost on the last and the ball ends up with Morgan who loses it cold.

Wenty scramble hard on the last tackle in defence and finally bring the ball down.

They throw caution to the wind and attack from their own redzone but the pass from Kelly to Morgan is called forwards (Morgan in turn passed forwards to Toutai) and Wyong get a scrum with 2min on the clock.

A dive over attempt from Wyong is adjudged held up and the ball comes back to the 10m line.

Wyong have a horrible attempt at a field goal and it sails under the posts and goes dead.

Kelly leads the attack in reply with a clever chip kick. He regathers the ball and does well to hold on to the pill as defenders close around him.

The next tackle Wenty get a massive penalty as the defenders fail to make the onside mark.

Wenty penalty directly infront, 25m out.

Wenty opt to take the shot at goal and Kelly lines up the ball as the siren rings out.

He calmly steps in and sends it down the middle of the uprights to claim the two points in the game and two points for the ladder.

Full Time

Wenty dft. Wyong 24-22

Wenty have stolen victory today. After a great start injury and errors took their toll and allowed Wyong to come roaring home. Kelly had a solid game, although once again lacking the impact that Sandow had in the NSW Cup, but he has pulled a win out of his hat when it counted.

An update on Joseph Ualesi. He was sent to the hospital as a precautionary measure. He felt multiple cracks in his back during the tackle but was moving around in the sheds.

There were some good touches from him down the left edge but almost all of it involved passing. He hasn't played in the halves for a while to my knowledge (barring last week) so if he can restring his bow this season with a running and possibly a kicking game he might lock down that spot. He is still a ways off though so it might be better to look to Matterson perhaps.

Just a question 40, do you type all this on a smartphone ? If you do you need to ring Guinness.

I use a laptop, champ. I set my phone to wireless hotspot mode so I get a wireless internet connection and start banging away at the keyboard.

Generally I will touch type (my accuracy on a laptop is solid) so I can track play and make corrections during a break of play.
