Yep, what a dumb article. It's hard to know what the point is, nor what the intention was- to get the sympathy vote? Get some of the 'fans' to pull their heads in? If anything, that'll spark em up worse.
I agree some of the fans view of the years so far has been over the top, and harsh. But everyone's entitled to those views. And why is the 'social media era' any different to talkback radio? There's been idiots using that for years, and not just callers (Hosts like Watson and his one man Black Cap hate campaign comes to mind).
I find fans that turn on their team so fast amusing, and separates the 'supporters' from the fans. I often found One Tribe ridiculous in that regard. But people have a right to their view.

Hold on a sec - so a journo who is paid to write opinionated pieces is criticising social commentary expressing opinions on a social platform that the Warriors designed that is designed to gather and facilitate the expression of opinions... imagine the hypocrisy.

Just trawled through a few of the Facebook threads (wasn't sure which one in particular motivated the article). Heh--they put up a post about the team for the game, with a picture of Inu, but no Inu in the team, and then act upset when fans get annoyed?

And then in the thread about the article quoted here they keep jumping in, basically saying, 'stop being so mean!' Nope, they're not handling it well at all.

Plus, the continuing inference that true fans never say anything negative about their club is pretty annoying.

Thats the worst. It was also bad having to read through 100 posts of "yeah u ropati haters suck leave the guy alone u guys dont keep the faith im a real fan GO THE MIGHTY WARRIORS!!!!"

i thought better of becht before i read that.

they haven't looked great (yet) this season, people acting like the sky is falling and reacting the way he's inferring are a tiny, tiny proportion of the fanbase.

i cringed with embarassment when i saw this on facebook.
