Reed Mahoney has been charged for a careless high tackle on Toby Rudolf before halftime, and dangerous contact against Daniel Atkinson after the break. He has two offences on his record, so will pay $1800 per charge with an early guilty plea, or $2500 per charge if he fights and loses.

Tupouniua, on the other hand, has been hit with a Grade 2 dangerous contact charge for a shot which saw him sin binned on the bell against Braydon Trindall. It's a first offence on his record, so he will escape with a one-week ban with an early guilty plea, or two weeks if he fights and loses.

Sam Stonestreet (crusher tackle) and Toby Rudolf (dangerous contact) were the other players charged, all hit with Grade 1 offences. Rudolf has two offences on his rolling 12-month judiciary record so will pay $1800 with an early guilty plea or $2500 if he fights and loses, while Stonestreet's crusher carries a $1500 or $2000 penalty.

Hahaha. It's clear that it's the dogs who are the new media and NRL darlings. It's only a rort if you aren't a part of it

Yeah, but Atko wasn't smart enough to fake one. Can't get concussion when your skull is empty

Yeah he should take lessons from Creighton and Curren.

Those two fall to their knees like they’ve been shot every time they think they’ve got even half a case.

Bulldogs are a stain on the game.

Reed Mahoney is the biggest shyte stain.

I'll make a confession here right now. I was enjoying the style of footy the Dogs were playing last night. It was a shame it was against us. Getting stuck right in and dominating.

I like the mongrel and I like the niggle. It was just like watching us trample over Souffs the weekend before.

Wouldn't it be great if most side in this comp were committed like that every week. Not like our 'boyz', one week world beaters, nek week deers in the headlights.

Problem is most teams can’t play with the mongrel as they get completely hammered by the refs for it. But the dogs on the other hand… as noted, ask Dale Finucane - he did that last night, be would have been sitting out for a spell, but Marney short man syndrome gets a piss ant fine. No consistency.
As usual.

That in a nutshell. I enjoy the niggle and mongrel but who knows what mood the referee is in.

Did anyone see the footage of Josh Papalii walking past the ref and patting him on the stomach as the ref stood there with his arms up?

not the biggest crime - but in a world where there is absolutely zero contact with the referee, Papalii made a conscious decision to touch the referee.

Last year, Kennedy was supporting a line break, and the ref changed direction at the last second, causing WK to run into the back of him. Total accident.

WK - 1 week suspension.
Papalii - nothing.
