NSW Police have won the opening game, defeating the Hawaii Chiefs 26 - 20.

Interview with president of grand pacific events Kelly McGill. Seems to be very ambitious, wants the 2021 rlwc to be played in the USA. He says there were 15-20k fans expected at the ohana cup, but from what I saw there would of been lucky to be 3k there.

Yeah, it seems from what has been said on previously they seem to be in it more for the standalone profit with no groundwork. I reckon it was spinner who said last year the usarl had never been approached by them for support, but in that audio interview mentions no support coming from Usarl. Seemed pretty negative about it all, except for their event of course. Hawaii is a ready made RL area. Oahu has the same population as Adelaide and heaps more Polynesians with probably just as many regular sports fans who could take a passing interest also.
