Dennis if I can see ‘ star quality ‘ written all over him then I am sure that you can also . Besides I am not suggesting that all of the $500k be put aside to the young man , but merely to let him know that the club is interested in securing his services long term .

Those 2 final games which he played were like watching a veteran - so composed and his kicking dead on . Yep many on here had been praising his abilities quite some time ago and he showed only a glimmer of what is to come in the years ahead , but only to the club that is fortunate enough have him - may that club be the Big Red V .

So often I heard the idea of potentially writing off a season or half a season in the hope that things will change even after a consistent number of poor performances. I say select on player performance during the off-season and select on form each round in the season proper. What about the idea of selecting players purely to combat the oppositions attack or to exploit the oppositions defence for a particular game.

Saints should go for Tapau before the Roosters snag him. Saints young backs will do fine with a monster pack in front of them which includes Tapau. Saints pack will be untouchable.

Here's a great opportunity to make a first up statement to the Rugby league world (including us suporters) by annoucing a few new TPA's right now. Put us in a position where we are active in the marketplace now. Give us a signal now (anything actually) that something exciting is about to happen. Don't worry. Such an investment would bring long term reward if nothing more than fan confidence that we have exciting times ahead. Their silence only suggests to me to expect more of the same we've had in the past.

You only have to look at who left and who SGI signed to understand that their is way more dollars in the kitty. We need Johnston if he is on the market. We will need another centre/winger and a first grade prop. I'd say we have about 1.2m to spend for the 3 of them.

We need a top line player for our Left Wing, we should make a play for Addo Carr, Corey Oates or Nick Cotric. The first two could be lured away for 2019 maybe, not sure about Cotric. Val holmes would be good too but he's off in search of glory elsewhere.

How do you know this poss ? I thought 500k was feasible due to the alleged offer to Hayne but where did you get 1.2m ?
