Given you've been so open I should be a little confessional as well and I, too, was confused in a much more simplistically gender-ignorant fashion. Your confusion arises from a slightly disingenuous sign-off (as explained above).
I was the victim, but a little more fleet-footed (given the responses) when at theis thread below, I responded to you thnking you were female.
I had the luxury of suddent realisation and editorial license to enable me to change the post ....
