Just under 16 hours now until voting commences.

The debate of the past week and a half is now almost behind us.

I'd just like to thank those from both tickets for sparing the time to come onto this board and answering questions, sharing opinions, and more or less enlightening us all.

The debate has been at times, might I say....heated, at other times personal and provocotive, but at most, informative.

I hope, that out of all this, we have an outcome that is the best for the club as a whole, and for us, as supporters and fans.

For those that don't have the opportunity to vote, the hope is the same.

Change is, without doubt absolutely vital for the club to move forward.
How that change is effected, will be up to the elected board members.

I hope for the best.

COME ON PARRA!!!!!!

i'd prefer to see our CEO decked out in parra gear at games

I'd even go as far to question when the last time fitzy wore a parra jersey. My guess is the last time he played for them

At least rusty does a great job of branding souths!!

I just hope that everyone with a precious voting right understands that each of their votes is lodged on behalf of thousands and thousands of supporters. So please vote wisely and with great thought. The ONLY thing that matters is who/or what is best for the future of our club.

Actually, I can't go with that thought.

Everyone who votes will go with their own voting thoughts.

They should NOT be held accountabe for other voters opinions. Thousands they may be. It's up to those thousands to gain their own voting rights......however that may be under the constitution.

If you were trying to put pressure on the voters, that's fine.

But those with a vote, should be exercising their own opinion.

Not that that others would wish or hope for. Simple as that.

Exactly. People that are serious about making their opinions count should join the Club when they get the chance.

Knowing your general thoughts, I'm very surprised you posted that, even though you have the morally correct intention.

Surely everyone has their own opinion and voting right, and should feel no obligation to feel the responsibility of others?????

To all,

Its been a pleasure over the last couple of weeks. I reckon good luck to all the candidates that are running tomorrow. It will probably be a sleepless night for alot of them prior to the vote, and probably a sleepless one for many after the vote too. The losers will wonder, why & what now. The winners, will also wonder, we won, what should be the first priority of the board now, what should we implement first, what needs change, what doesn't, now back to work and lets make things better. Good luck to all.

I hope to see as many of you as possible that can make it tomorrow. After the dust settles, lets have a beer.

Talk to you all after the results. Take care.

Regards,

Col Green.

Oh, I forgot to mention as well.

MITS, come introduce yourself. (I'm being serious too here). No matter who wins. Lets sit down, have a chat. Remember, politics aside. We both go for Parra. Talk to you tomorrow.

I think perhaps we're reading to much into the words there?

I read FP's statement in a similar way as to how many people (inlcuding myself) vote in real elections - sometimes ignoring what might be more beneficial to me as an individual, and supporting candidates/policies I perceive to be better for the greater, wider good?

Anyway, let the healing commence Parra fans, whatever the outcome. :D Onwards and upwards for 2009, hopefully in a whole lot of ways.

You are reading too much into my post. I am just saying to 'do whats right' for the club and don't let petty agendas or dislikes of certain people to affect your decision which may be detrimental to the clubs future. No pressure intended.

Although, having said that, I still don't believe this election is as important as everyone is making out. The hysteria has been ridiculous - but entertaining. Things may change at Leagues club election time, but until then, this board is running our junior league only.
