Cats fan shows 'gay' pride

November 13, 2007 02:18pm

A GEELONG Cats supporter wanting a permanent reminder of the team's AFL triumph has been left by a tattoo saying his team were "Gay Premiers 2007".

In a celebratory trip to Thailand last week "Neville", a dyed-in-the-wool Cats fan, had 15 cans of beer to ease the pain of the 5-½ hour experience.

He paid $150 for the privilege. And to ensure the Phuket tattooist got it right, he wrote down exactly what he wanted on his right and left arms, under the headings "right arm" and "left arm".

"I gave them a piece of paper and wrote down on the right arm, I wanted the new Geelong emblem they've got out now ... and Day Premiers 2007."

"I gave them a week to work it all out.

"And on the left arm side I wrote "left arm" and the two grandkids names and Night Premiers 2006"
The tattooist took him literally - almost.

Now he has "right arm" written on his right arm, just above "Gay Premiers 2007" because the tattooist marked in "Gay" instead of "Day".

"I couldn't believe it," Neville told 3AW radio.

"When I first walked in he showed me the picture of the thing, and I just looked at a picture and didn't really take notice of the words.

"My son-in-law walked in halfway through it ... and told me what happened, and I thought 'you're joking!'," he said.

"Once they'd written right arm, I told them you might as well have left arm on the other one – and make it a bit fun."

i got a tattoo a few months ago, depends where u get it i think, but mine goes down the middle of my back so right on my spine and it hurt so bad haha but u get used to the pain, and once the outline is done its fine, when they fill it in it doesnt hurt.
my advice is to take someone with u so u can hold their hand haha

the tattoo on my shoulder blade hurt quite abit, but its not a pain thats unbareable, so its ok... id describe it as a felt tip pen being dragged across you're skin with alot of force... if you get it where there is alot of muscle, it'll be fine, its when you have bone of sensative areas that hurts

What I dont get, is that there is a reason that all these procedures are so cheap overseas. Its like the people that fly over there for plastic surgery by a dr that probably says "Hi Everybody!!" and whinge when it goes wrong.
