Opposition watch

Think it's time to safely rule out Newcastle, Tigers and Dogs from the 8. Read nothing in to Bunnies hammering Penrith, the Pennies were definitely off. Souths are garbage. Dogs no better. Raiders are slowly slipping away too.

Mid table teams like Titans, Penrith and Warriors are hard to get a read on. The Panthers are better than they showed at the weekend and the Titans are too. Warriors meh. Real nightmare to pick.

Parra, i'd hate to say but are looking like they'll be there. Dragoons are on the downward slope, they'll be gone soon. That opens up a spot for Penrith/Warriors/Titans. Interesting battle for the bottom few places.
Cowboys are improving but no JT will be hard for them to cope with.
Broncs will be there unfortunately. As will everyone else above them.

Gonna be a cracker of a season I reckon.

The way to beat us is to let us beat ourselves with poor ball security & a poor mindset.

When we are switched on....lookout....as the Roosters found out.

If we complete our sets and get organised in attack like we did last Saturday we are definitely formidable.

If I was an opposition coach however I would be definitely targeting the Sharks edge defence.

There's been some poor reads in particular by Bird, Townsend, Maloney and even Graham this year.

I disagree about Souths.

They are starting to click and will give us one hellava game in a few weeks time.

Crichton has really come on and is finding space out wide and Souths halves are now playing much more attacking and fluent. And any team with Sam Burgess in it will cause havoc.

Every try is nearly always 6 points with awesome goal kicking.

They are the only team out of the 8 that I think can force themselves into the 8 at the expense of a team like the Dragons.

Head to head we have a much stronger team than Souths. Back line especially. Crichton (spelling) is a good player no question. As well as Reynolds and Burgess. The rest are meh.
I reckon if Penrith sort their shit out they could displace the Stains.

3 teams can win the comp. Us, Storm and Roosters. Nobody else comes close. Broncos are a distant 4th.

This is a MUCH weaker comp than last year.

Report in today's paper on GF tickets already sold.

Melbourne supporters have taken up 17%

Broncos supporters 14%

Sharks next on the list with 9%

If I remember the same time last year I'm sure we had the highest percentage.

Seems like the Storm supporters realised they gave the team f**k all support at the last GF and now realise that it might be better to get off their arse.

I watched less than 2 minutes of the game today., just in time to witness that hilarious last tackle play by the Knights. As a team, we were, and will never ever be as bad as those sad merkins. Holy shit!

You couldn't write a script as tragic. Well maybe you could, maybe they can sign some female coach with all the cliches and make a b grade movie about it.

Members ticket sales. Joe Blow can buy a ticket so how are you going to kmow percentages for real?

Unlikely for anyone but Melbourne to win it this year tbh, they're so close to perfect it's f**ken frustrating. I hope we get our shit together...one game with good completions following one with the worst completion rate we've clocked in isn't encouraging yet. Roosters are a chance, but I'm not convinced especially after we drubbed them..

If we hold it together and stay in the top 4 I reckon odds on for a grand final replay (injuries permitting).
