Dont forget that this same Tricia Kavanagh is not only responsible for

a) Performing "brief review" in a specialist area she has no expertise in, takes upon herself to make a connection not even cancer specialists make.

but also:

b) Recommending the Sharks sack well respected club & Australian doctor David Givney (among others). He is now suing the club.

She is on a roll. What other damage can her incompetence cause?

According to SMH it wasn't her report the DT got. Rather it was a lawyers review of her report. Therefore it was the lawyer who did the brief review, not Kavanagh

the sharks f**ked themself up by hiring her. i mean who hires a former ASADA deputy chair to do your investigation when ASADA is trying to nail your club. there needs to be a clean out in the shire after this is all over

According to the DT:

A leaked extract from the 60-plus page report warns:
...

Then the DT proceed to quote the extract which included the line about a brief review.... DT are clearly quoting the report & its author is Kavanagh.

An independent report prepared by former ASADA deputy chair Tricia Kavanagh provides a timeline of events in an extensive document. Darren Kane, a sports and commercial lawyer at Colin W Love & Company Lawyers, was engaged by the Sharks to review it and report back to the board with any legal issues.

His leaked advice included the following: "A brief review of available published medical literature suggests an identified causal link between the use of substances such as CJC-1295 and GHRP-6 and the acceleration of the condition of disease Hodgkin's lymphoma. Without knowing anything further about Mannah's exact medical history and without seeking expert opinion from an appropriately qualified oncologist it is difficult to take this issue further. The issue of Mannah has the potential to be as serious as matters could get."

Fantastic to see from the players, I'd love it if players somehow started a boycott of that sh*t rag.

Journalists are the lowest form of society, the Rebecca Wilson crew is a rung below them and a special place in hell is reserved for them.

Mate, this dispute was over a poster called "MichaelSpeechley' being rubbished because he apparently only joined today and put out some posts that others didn't agreed with and was told he had no right to his opinion. I, like the sucker that I am, stated he had a right to his opinion - freedom of speech.

As for the DT article and the reporters - disgraceful and scum.

And he immediately sided with the media, being more than happy to join the witch hunt. Much of the information out there is speculation, not the greatest foundation to be building a case upon.

Wow. So even with 3 journos on the 1 article the DT still couldn't get it right. The DT article only refers to a single report in their article:

Newly-appointed Sharks CEO Bruno Cullen confirmed the club had handed the report, compiled by ex-ASADA deputy chair Tricia Kavanagh, over to ASADA and the NRL.

So Kavanagh isn't responsible for the "brief review" but sports and commercial lawyer at Colin W Love & Company Lawyers. I'm sure she can't be too happy with the DT article then... My goodness what a c0ck-up.

I don't know why we're looking at Kavanagh as the enemy. I believe Kavanagh is on the Sharks payroll. Kavanagh is working for them. Her primary loyalty is to them. If they weren't happy with her service she would have been sacked by now.

Speculation over fallen Mannah leaves family, friends simmering

Parramatta players were so furious at speculation linking the recurrence of Jon Mannah's Hodgkin's lymphoma with a supplements program at Cronulla in 2011 they demanded the club issue a statement on their behalf.

Eels co-captain Tim Mannah had earlier issued a statement expressing his family's "disappointment" at reports of the link. Fairfax Media was told their mother, Abir, had been in tears on Friday.

After Tim completed training, the deeply religious family collected their thoughts and made a statement but his teammates were still simmering and discussed a media boycott.

Sources close to Mannah told Fairfax Media that to the best of their knowledge, there was no evidence Mannah had taken CJC-1295 and GHRP-6 while at Cronulla and said he was unlikely to have taken any substance without consulting a specialist after initially being diagnosed with the form of cancer in 2009.

A report prepared by a lawyer asked to assess the legal exposure the Sharks could face from the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority investigation merely stated that Mannah was in the top squad during the 12-week period that players were allegedly administered with the peptides.

Noting that a "brief review of available published medical literature suggests an identified causal link between the use of substances such as CJC-1295 and GHRP-6 and the acceleration of the condition of disease Hodgkin's lymphoma", the report said "the issue of Mannah has the potential to be as serious as matters could get".

"The real question should be who leaked this and what was their motive," one official said. Many people in league circles have their theories on who was responsible but most of venom was directed at News Ltd for reporting the link in the Sharks report. A statement issued on behalf of the Parramatta players said: "In all parts of life there are boundaries, lines in the sand that everyone understands. It is our belief that the Daily Telegraphtoday crossed that line. To put the Mannah family through what they have in the last 24 hours is an absolute disgrace and those responsible should be ashamed of themselves.

"We as a playing group will be rallying around Timmy, his family and [trainer] Trent Elkin. They are our teammates, our family and this will only make our bonds stronger."

The club and the Mannah family also offered their support for Elkin, who joined Parramatta this season from the Sharks.

"Trent has had a long and trusted relationship with me, my brother and our family and what has transpired over the last day has not changed that," Mannah said. "We know Trent does not condone the use of illegal substances and would have never knowingly done anything that would cause one of his players or Jon for that matter harm.

"On behalf of my family I would like to say how disappointed we all are by the reports that have been published today. My brother Johnny was a wonderful man and never ever would have knowingly consented to taking a banned substance. In fact, he was very careful about everything he did that may affect his health.

"Johnny's integrity in the way he lived his life speaks for itself. We have no need to defend that."

This whole thing is a farce... The NRL needs to step in and f**k these wankers off! they have know solid evidence, they are grasping at straws. All NRL clubs should take a stand and not play until ASADA pisses off...

Mate, that doesn't matter (and I didn't agree with the majority of what he stated); he has a right to say it.

Yeah this has nothing to do with ASADA, it's to do with soul-less journalists who have no human decency.
