I love how noone is questioning the validity of the actual tests considering in house testing and subsequent ASADA testing showed HGH levels were normal. So it's basically this rogue test that has produced abnormal results and everyone seems to be accepting it as credible.

Wonder how many players were tested. If tbe entire playing group was tested then a lot of blokes returned samples within normal range. It seems the only problem here is that 6 didn't.

Yup, because the average Rugby League fan is going to be thinking those are the questions that need to be answered right? Possible black mail against the Roosters? Haha, sorry - rooster straw clutching there.

Interesting how the NRL and News Corp are making no mention of this. You can probably bet the Channel Nine Footy will also gloss over it.

It will be interesting to see how The Game Plan on Channel 10 (One) covers it.

there is some interesting questions that need to be answered before any conclusions can be drawn

1. How soon after the abnormal tests came back where the players tested by roosters and can these tests be independently verified (ie were ASADA involved in this retesting?)
2. Why were only 3 of the 6 abnormal players tested?
3. Did the Roosters inform the NRL after the restesting or before?
4. How did the test results end up on some crims phone?

I think we haven't heard the last of this one.

Back to the topic at hand - I think the roosters more than anyone else would want to know how the results of a test they never requested ended up with a crime figure.

The Sydney Roosters have released a statement regarding media reports that have seen them dragged into the ASADA investigation, saying they have nothing to hide and that they will be making no further comment. Read the full statement below.

Sydney Roosters Statement

As is the case with all clubs, players have been regularly and extensively tested throughout the season by ASADA and the Club has fully co-operated with the organisation’s routine tests.

In relation to matters raised in the media today, there has been full voluntary disclosure with the NRL’s Integrity Unit over many months and the Club has not been contacted by ASADA.

We reinforce that the Club maintains the absolute highest standards in its own policies and governance, and as a Club we have nothing to hide.

The Club will be making no further comment.

That's because it was SMH who broke the story and had all the info so they could have all their journo's pump out stories. News Ltd are playing catch up.
