Even if you believed both coaches in both codes were 100% duped, I don't understand why a club wouldn't want a clean break.

Hird and Flanagan are very lucky individuals IMO.

This. I'm still in shock how not just one but BOTH clubs went all in with extensions AFTER all this came out. I can understand one mob being braindead enough to do it but for both clubs in both codes to feel like there is no better option on earth then the men who led them during this period...it's beyond me.

I bet if a journo asked Bennett what is in the supplements his team is taking he couldn't tell you

I wonder how Sandor Earl feels about these 3 week suspensions after being effectively kicked out of the sport.

Who gives a f*ck what Sandor Earl thinks?

He was charged with and admitted trafficking the stuff.

How is that remotely close to what the Sharks players were charged with?

Which would suggest there was evidence that would need contradicting. If asada had no evidence it would only take a prelim hearing for it to be thrown out. 2 years? Most of these things take a few weeks to be proven of thrown out.

Far closer to reality is the evidence was clear but due to asada incompetence in not charging them in November and possible irregularities in interviews etc it was better for everyone to come up with an outcome that stopped it getting messy for asada and didn't impact any further on the players.

FFS you just do not live in the real world do you?

I'm sure you would know far more than lawyers who deal with this shit every day

All of that shit you just said was complete theory dreamed up by you. How in God's name do you know what the evidence was that ASADA offered a deal on?

If you are telling me that in the exact situation these players are that you wouldn't take the same deal then you're high.

The agenda is so transparent its funny.

Systematic doping of an entire team should result in the team being expelled from the competition IMO, similar to Festina in cycling. Ignorance to dedicated program your employees are running should be no excuse

Are we talking Essendon or the Sharks here?
Tools like yourself seem to throw them in the same basket.

Well then so should systematic cheating of the salary cap.

I assume the basis of your argument being there has been a deliberate intention to gain advantage by illegal means over other teams in the competition?

Yet here we are with the Bulltards and Purple Scum still in the comp so you're suggestion is duly noted and filed in the "Bullshit file".

In a statement released by ASADA, chief executive McDevitt concurred with Smith.

"Having a proven doping violation against these individuals is something that they will now carry with them for the rest of their lives," McDevitt said.

"Our aim has always been to find out what happened at Cronulla in 2011. After a thorough investigation and a review of the evidence by former Federal Court Judge, the Hon Garry Downes, we have reached a code compliant outcome.

"Throughout this process, I have been in constant personal contact with the World Anti-Doping Agency's Director-General, David Howman, and the architect of the World Anti-Doping Code.

"I am confident that our handling of the process is fully compliant with the code."

You think you would ask for a signed letter from WADA

Before agreeing to anything.

Not just Asada saying ` no you'll be OK boys'

The NRL chief executive denied the bans were light
.

Sure thing Dave lol. Three games for admitted banned drug taking, who could possibly consider the sanctions are light? Would be interested to know what other sports person has got off this lightly?

Get caught doing illegal drugs you can only hope it's by asada and they decide to wait nine months before charging you!
