I wonder if Tedesco actually handed the ball back to the ref after the final whistle. He never passed it to anyone else all night.
Picked some dud Panthers , but NOT the competitions form Fullback ? (A great team player ) and thats including the boncos superstar . Slater made some hard calls on FORM . Fittler ? Meh!

Confirmation from Fittler there was no plan for Hynes apart from maybe play 9 late if Api got tired or an injury. If Turbo doesn't come off, he would have stayed on the pine for 80. Useless selection and worse tactical nous.

Don't pick him if you dont have a plan to use him.

Can't disrupt the Panthers show which now 1 for the last 4 games.

They were so clunky in attack, I think if he’s still sold on Cleary/Luai/Api/Yeo combo, he has to make the tough call and drop Teddy for Edwards. The style Teddy plays, and the amount of touches he has, doesn’t gel with the Panthers style. I also believe there’s only room for 1 of Yeo or Murray, and no room for Hynes - make the tough calls Freddie, or you risk looking like a slightly funnier version of Laurie Daley.

Two key points:
1. I can’t stand that NSW Hip Hop Boom box culture that the Penrith players (mainly) have brought into the NSW team.

2. Too many “Me first” players that need to be removed.

Page 2 of this thread had plenty of predictions to what would happen come true.
Says a lot that us nuffies can see what will happen. Imagine how easy these games are for Slater to run a game plan.

Here I was thinking Fitzy might have to give Hynes a rest after soo.

I guess I was overestimating fiddler's plan for the bench players.

I missed the last 10-15 after the NSW try as I couldn’t be assed watching anymore. Probally seeing Hynes and Burton getting splinters on the bench was enough for me. Waking up to hear NSW lost wasn’t the surprise, but playing Hynes at centre when Fittler could have thrown hero bomb man Burton in says plenty about the coach.
Again, 3-0 series loss would do alot for changing the it up. Tedesco out, Turbo running on a Duracell battery out for a start - but it won’t happen.
I think Fittler said something like, I was concerned about Turbo’s fitness, but called him and said he was fine….. like buying a mate another schooner at 330am after drinking a dozen…. Yeah I’m fine…
Limp effort

- The attack was so bad. Every time they tried to spread it you would hit Teddy who turned into Lachlan Miller last night and kept turning back inside. Running his players off side and killing the plays
- Hynes got 40k match payment but will likely be a fall guy because Freddy doesn't have a plan for how to use him. The best attacking player in the game who can play either side of the ball and Freddy couldn't work it out. Freddy shoulda used the HIA sub and put Burton in the centres and Nicho on at lock.
- Cleary has absolutely bottled that game last night with shit kicks and no direction
- Hudson Young won't be seen again
- TPJ was good until he remember he was TPJ and threw that offload when we were in the lead in our own end and the game was lost
- That game in Adelaide just didn't feel like a game 1.

All in all I think Hynes will be disappointed with how he was used/missed that tackle. I would hope he takes it out on the Broncos this weekend.

That was all depressingly predictable. The f**ken dolt Freddie starts with the dopes Young and TPJ who don’t do much and give away stupid penalties leading to 10 nil. On come Paulo, Murray and Martin and we look a million times better. Except our f**ken halves do f**ken nothin all game. Cleary stops, starts, doesn’t engage the line. It’s Chadesque, but with a better kicking game and Luai just f**ken bolts himself to that left edge like a shit Wade Graham of old. As for Teddy….

oh, idk
i think liam martin had his best origin game
Was NSW best but still only a 7.5/10 nothing anyone will remember in years to come.
Can only play what’s in front but his try had very little to do with him doing anything outstanding and mostly due to horrible defensive reads.

Agreed absolutely no atmosphere at that ground. Strategically makes no sense. There will never be a team based there.

If you want to use a neutral venue just use the MCG. We have an NRL team there that is always looking for more exposure at that AFL strong hold. Always great atmosphere there and it would piss the AFL off that we launch the Origin there every year. Then NSW and QLD can swap around each year with who has the 2nd game in the series.

Too much made about Hynes mis read in defence/mis tackle by the media. It was one poor read. What about all the other NSW f**k ups that led directly to tries or the stupid penalties that gave QLD key field position??? NSW left side defence of Creighton/T’oo were poor and gave QLD the early ascendancy. Just because it happened earlier in the game doesn’t mean it wasn’t one of the reasons why we lost because it was.

They talk about blues culture and passion compared to the maroons.
Look at the sheds and coaching staff and peripheral hangers on.
Qld can't wear enough of their colours and gear.
it's dripping off them like super hero outfits.

Filter and john's and co >> suits.

Could have fooled me looking at the blues shed last night. Thought I got the score wrong and they'd won. Lots of yarns and laughs being had.

If that was Qld it would have been sombre.

Maybe Nsw just don't get it.

NSW game plan:

- Bash it up the guts
- Bash it up the guts
- Bash it up the guts
- Shift to the left to take advantage of the 'Panthers connection'
- Rinse
- Repeat ad nauseam

It seems the only time they went away from this and went to the right it was given to Teddy, who just got in the way.
The Lachie Miller comparison earlier is spot on.
Shame he's the captain.
Past his prime and should be dropped for better performing options, but the captain doesn't get dropped.

I was pretty confident he was going to get a token 20mins or so, pretty disspointed to see he got less than that and it appears there was no real plan for him at all.

Prefer they just dont pick him but I'm sure being in camp is good for his development.

I actually thought Luai was decent enough to not get dropped. So I wont be shocked if they don't pick him and go with Cook next time.

Remeber when we only played for 70 minutes.

I think NSW has ownership of that title, has done for decades, they always seem to get us in the last 10, f**k 60 seconds..

NSW the 70 minute men.
