I suppose even comedians can have depression.

That line of work could be a way to mask or suppress their depression I suppose maybe

Two of my favourite performances of his are Good Morning Vietnam and Mrs Doubtfire. I can't imagine anyone else who could have played those roles.

Yeh, they are probably over-represented in the depression numbers. Though not always a 'mask', sometimes just to do with the way different people see the world.

Very sad.

Yep. I knew a manic depressive bloke who topped himself. When he was up he was the life of the party but when he was down he hid himself away from the world. People probably should have cared about him more but to be honest he was a bit of a dick.

Good Will Hunting and Dead Poets.... Hilarious man but his serious roles will always be my favourite.

The man used comedy to combat his demons. It was his emotional crutch. He also used some pretty heavy drugs at various stages of his life. A tortured genius hiding behind the clown.....

Bloody hell

One of my favourite comedians.

Have a look at any interview he has done. Always a random crackup

RIP Robin :(
