That is part of the reason why I think Gabbert was only ok at best. By some miracle his o-line battled that disgusting Rams defensive line to a stand still but he took sooooo long to go through his progressions and resorted to the run a lot. It actually reminded a lot of Kaepernick funnily enough. Good effort from the 49ers though and now I am worried that those f**king Rams will be hungry for blood against my Hawks - the merkins always get up for their games against us.
It's ok to take time in the pocket if your o-line gives you that time.

I actually liked his touchdown pass to Macdonald. He held onto the ball and waited for Vance to get open, trusting his o-line. He did well.
I'm not getting carried away because he completed over 20 passes for only 140yds (or something). Niners are a running team, but to beat the good sides he will want to be completing longer passes than he is. I don't even remember him taking a shit down the field at all today.
