Good result for what was a push in the chest after provocation by a tool.

I hope just as the judge was going to give verdict, he paused and went to an ad break. And of course the case would have pushed well into the published time slot for the next case despite it having been prerecorded weeks ago

So was a one match closure of the RBB is an over the top move ?

He suggests self regulation. Can the RBB do that ?

No. And it's not their job to do so. The amount of cops and riot squad and security at the game on Sunday night was obscene. How did these flares get in in the first place? And if only a couple of flares were ripped after all that, is it really such a crisis?
Melbourne Victory fans did the self policing thing and the FFA and the Victory management still tore their active support apart by imposing seriously draconian regulations - to the point that they disbanded. Gallop is a puppet who doesn't understand football culture.
I'm not saying flares are ok. OK?
But the Wanderers have gone almost 2 seasons now without any trouble and certainly no flares, and then this happens. A couple of flares. Big f**king deal!!
Gallop wants a family friendly (lol) atmosphere at games. He wants the AFL/NRL clap clap clap types at games. Yet, the FFA and Fox use active support in all their advertising as much as they can. They can't have it both ways.
It's no wonder crowds and tv ratings are in free fall.
BTW, I could show you plenty of videos of Sydney FC flares, pitch invasions etc.... Lowy's darlings aren't perfect in any way. Are they hassled like the Wanderers?

So the closure of the active area has been done by the club? Is that a, look we are doing something dont punish us, move? ... can everyone just move along to the next bay and just be active there?

In time, the FFA will find out.
Basically, it was the Wanderers getting on the front foot to avoid a 3 point penalty.

There's far more to this issue than what you probably realise. And there'll be more to come.

The club are going to re-alocate active member tickets to other bays.
I'm sure they won't put them all together.
And security is so f**ked at Spotless that they won't let people into bays that aren't their allocated ones.

I have found the people will generally try and stop you going into a bay at parra games if you dont have a ticket for that bay too ... tho you can possibly slip past

Yep. f**king stupid.
Spotless is half full most of the time, and they won't even let families sit together on the odd accession.
I've been able to get my daughter past them on the odd occasion when she has come with me and Jnr Suit. I just ignore the f**kers.

Well they are a big deal really. They burn at a gabillion degrees and spew toxic smoke.

Why is it that burning them in a kids playground would not be tolerated but somehow burning them at the soccer should be ?

I agree that they should not have been allowed in the ground but IIRC they have stuffed them down their pants before.

If the RBB are serious they would out these merkins. Someone was next to them and know who they are.

Everyone who enters active support now is patted down and scanned airport like.
Security have no trouble stopping people taking water bottles in?

It wouldn’t be too hard for someone outside the active support to bring them in though and pass them on in the toilets

You have spent a lot of time this morning talking about trouble that other teams cause. Even if there is an imbalance in discipline against the RBB, the facts are that flares were set off - again.

So if 20 RBB merkins take photos of the flare lighter and outs them for a 5 year ban, would that not just stop the shenanigans almost immediately ?

I know that if there was a mad merkin at Parra stadium where I sat, the crowd around him would tell him to sit the f**k down and pull his head in.

PS I’m not across the whole police stuff, have they charged the flare lighter yet ?
