Absolutely. It’s irrelevant and disgusting. What is relevant is that the stupid English coach allowed 3 of his youngest players to take the last 3 penalties with a 19 year old taking the last one.
The stupider decision was to try and park the bus for 89 mins in a final.
That said Chielleni should’ve been red carded. Might not have changed result but

Was about to say how wasn’t that a high boot by Mabil when Boyle doubles it up!
China have definitely front loaded their effort. Absolutely gassed and it’s only 30 minutes in

Brazil’s match with Argentina in World Cup qualifying descended into a farce after Brazilian health officials appeared on the pitch during the game – apparently in an attempt to deport four opposition players due to a breach of Covid regulations.
Covid rules in Brazil state that arrivals from the UK must quarantine for 14 days, prompting the country’s health regulator Anvisa to demand the immediate isolation of four players before kick-off who had not followed procedure.

However, officials waited until after the match had kicked off before taking action, appearing on the side of the pitch with just a handful of minutes played before confronting some players.

What followed was pandemonium. After a huge on-pitch row, Argentina's players disappeared down the tunnel while Brazil stood around awkwardly for an hour. Eventually, the match was abandoned.

Although the four players were not named, Emi Martinez, Giovani Lo Celso, Cristian Romero and Emi Buendia all play for Premier League clubs. Brazil were without their Premier League stars.

Did they only mow the grass on half the field? Viets passing is much crisper than ours but you can just see our passing hitting all the patches of crabgrass

Just f**ken kick it to Souttar on corners. I get that he is being triple teamed but he’s still a clear target

Four Corners tonight.

Who really owns Australian Football ?

I'm in two minds about the ABC's motivation re this episode.
Foreign investment is rife in Oz. Darwin Port lease for example. That Cubby cotton place in Qld?
Why are they picking the A-League as an example of foreign investment? Because the A-League has a reasonable media deal now on free to air and a Live streaming service? Junior soccer numbers are booming in Victoria. And it's only 4 clubs they are focusing on. What about the other 6 who are locally owned?
The ABC is heavily Victorian orientated these days. Just sayin'.
SFC owned by a Russian. Melbourne City owned by City Group - Manchester City owners from Saudi Arabia. Roar owned by Indonesians. Adelaide City by unknowns?
In saying that, I'll wait till I watch it and make a judgement then.
I just don't trust the ABC these days when it comes to their sporting allegiances. Offsiders is heavily AFL biased and produced out of Melbourne. It even gives league a hard time, and more often than not, focusses on the negatives.
Yet, AFL is always portrayed as the sport of the gods.
We'll see.

So, after these past two games against Brazil, it appears that the Matilda's are getting back on track and playing some decent football after a long period of playing like shite.
A win and a draw against Brazil is a good result, although it really should have been win/win, after being up 2-0 last night.
In saying that, Brazil were very good and dominated large periods of the game.
It was good to see that our defence generally held solid.

I liked it. I thought they played a better, more adventurous style than in tne Olympics. And didn't lose too much in defence - nothing that can't be tweaked a little anyway.

Ellie Carpenter is amazing - glad she bounced back after the brain explosion red card to miss the bronze medal game in Tokyo.
