Seems silly to say but I think tonight is must win for Socceroos if they want to qualify the easier way. Winning almost takes the reverse fixture out of equation (assuming Japan go undefeated) whereas we don’t want to be heading to Jeddah needing a result. Then we need revenge in Bahrain and get wins vs Indo & China.
Failing this round would all but guarantee we’re the only non-middle eastern team in next round. Spending half games in Middle East won’t be easy.

John Aloisi is seen as the hero that got us to the 2006 World Cup - and we ignore Mark Schwarzer's TWO insane penalty saves.

Growing up, I played as a keeper most of my life, so I'm probably biased - but why is it "ALOISI GOT US TO THE WORLD CUP!!!!", and no love is given to Schwarzer (who is arguably the greatest keeper Australia has ever produced)?

Also, this current Socceroos team is painful to watch.
