Both of their goals came from our f**k ups (their first was still very arsey but). Our first came from their f**k up (at least we finished it). Other than that they had only couple of real chances, while we missed at least two that should have been finished. Consistent finishing is something we’ve only ever had from Cahill.
The Saudi/Indo result should keep us in box seat if we can WIN against Indo & China. Both of those are seeming less likely since a month ago. Maybe the break will help us.

Thompson went alright - 28 goals in 54 matches.

But I do agree - our basic finishing skills are awful.

Even Yengi's second goal looked clumsy, and nervous.

15 goals in 53 games is less impressive give 13 of his goals were in one game vs the might of American Samoa. Could’ve been worse if he started the Tonga game couple days before. He scored one after subbing Aloisi near the end after Aloisi had scored 6

True, I forgot about the Samoa game.

Cahill is our greatest ever goal threat, no question.

The group table is cray cray. Japan is first with five wins, then the team with the next most wins is last placed China, with two wins (no draws). The four countries in between all have one win and a stack of draws.
