You know what just like in Qatar the world cup in the middle east is probably better for Australia.

We can piss and moan about the ethics of FIFA and what not but whats the point there scum.

From an onfield perspective we play there a shit load and i reckon the conditions acclimatising to them through numerous Asian Cup & World Cup Qualifying campaigns helps us.

When we came up against the likes of Denmark or look at other European countries who dont play in it whatsoever they didn't really do that well.

You can't tell me our experience of playing in those conditions constantly didn't give us an advantage in 2022 to get us to the next round. It was basically like a home ground advantage in a way.

They should hold the World Cup in Townsville if they want testing conditions.... Only problem would be the tournament would go for 10+ weeks to give everyone enough recovery time after each game....

Are Australian soccer players more used to playing in air-conditioned shopping malls than the Dutch?

There will be 48 teams in the tournament so at least Australia should qualify

Spurs down 1-nil at Ibrox.... 20 minutes to go.... If they lose to a 3rd placed SPL team it could be just about curtains for Ange....

EDIT - Spurs escape with a draw.... Ange lives..... For now....

Spurs Beat Manchester United today in the League Cup Quarter Final.

The 2-leg Semi Finals ain't until mid-late January.

Has Ange given himself some breathing space for now for the next 6 weeks no matter what happens in the premier league while there still alive deep into a League cup run

I watched the last half hour this morning. f**king helter skelter.... Forster with 2 brain farts let Man U back in to it. I think Ange is safe enough for now. They are still a chance of silverware, he's got 10 first teamers unavailable at the moment....

their next 2 games are Liverpool and Nottingham - so suspect they will win one of those 2 with the likely lose to Nottingham
