that goal difference could be pretty useful too

If anyone wants free money, Saudis to beat Bahrain next match day. There’ll be 22 players in Arabian green that game.
Basically means we either need to beat Japan or not lose in Saudi (and hope they don’t make up the 9 goal difference against Bahrain).

Saudis pulling a draw vs Japan hasn’t helped us. The fix would be in for Saudis to walkover Bahrain. At least game against Japan is kind of a free shot. Losing or drawing against them makes no difference (assuming Bahrain don’t play against script) other than maintaining goal difference advantage against Saudis.

This has got to be the most corrupt sport in the world after cricket in India. How easy would it be to manufacture a result given their proclivity to maybe score one goal in a game.
