OT: Barefoot Rugby League Show

I'm lucky enough to be at home today and i was flicking around foxtel for something to watch and i came across a rugby league show on NITV channel, its is called,Barefoot rugby league show.

What a fantastic show.

It covers all levels of rugby league from NRL through to the Q cup to local footy comps. Fantastic.

There is no craping on, hosts not looking for cheap laughs, just footy talk and looks at indigenous players in the game also.

There are no massive egos( fatty and vossy, i'm looking at you).

There are 3 guys hosting, i'm not sure who 2 of them are but Tony Curry is one of them.

i would highly recommend this show for all rugby league lovers.

Great stuff.

Its a top show and one well worth watching if you are into discussion about the game of rugby league and its personalities rather than the not very funny skits and in jokes that the mainstream footy show occupies itself with.


The main host is a guy called Brad Cooke and i'm not too sure of whether he played or not but he seems to be a big Souths man. The other guy you might have seen in this week's show was a guest host, Glenn Liddiard. They often have different ex players in that role though - David Peachey is on it quote a lot. Tony Currie is the other regular host as you said.

Never knew that Soward was indigenous until I saw this show around SoO. I thought he looked tad asian TBH. :oops:

i will be setting the IQ to record it every week just in case i'm not home from work in time.

the other reason i love it, is because they have been talking up Parra. lol

I can't remember, did Glen Liddard ever play for us? i know his brother did.

Great show.

maybe the other so called footy shows should watch this and take a leaf out of their book.

BTW I posted on the Wenty thread a few months back that they had a series following a few Poly boys trying to make it in NRL. They focused on Wenty for a whole program.

So NITV is not all about Australian indigenous people.

It is a free to air channel. You just need a Digital TV or Set top box to get it, not only on Foxtel (nice plug for them though).

This channel is quite good. It has a fair amount of sport on it all with an indigenous flavour but they don't just talk about these players it is like the weekend footy show without agendas and egos.
