On fox sports they interviewed Ben Teo and he said that he hopes Mal Meninga is taking note of his performances cos he would love to pull on the Maroon Jersey this year and future years

WTF - When did he defect and is it on residency ground. He was a Jr Kiwi a couple of seasons ago now thinks hes Maroon hard

sadly mate, most of the kiwi boys coming through now would choose origin over a one off test and a series at the back end of the season. as everyone says over and over its the pinnacle of our sport.
kiwis will always get the best of the rest who arent in the frame for origin. its the way of the future while the kiwi admin let it be as is

But on their NRL contracts on the back page they have to state which Country eligibility they are. He was Jr Kiwi when he signed so whats the go

He'd be no chance of either jersey. As far as dedication to a cause goes R&S, one should recall how bemused his Wests Tigers team-mates were with his 'sudden' drop of form once he worked out he was going to the Brisbane Broncos. There was a game against us for the Tigers where Heinington went off his nut at him for not having a crack in defence. I'd rather he's not available for us.

Te'o is scum.

Go the Blues. It has become embarrassing as a former Queensland supporter to watch them continually scout NSW and NZ for players.

Cant blaim teo and good luck to him but he has made clear his eligability for australia so will always be seen as an australian in my eyes just like cutie

Makes me look at people like benji and see what a champion he is and what hes doing for new zealand

Benji similar story to teo in that he could have opted to play for aus based on residency. Was impressed last year before the tri nations in england spending time in nz promoting the game v tonga im sure alot of kids would have had the chance to see him

We are at risk of losing all kiwis who play for clubs other than the Warriors, as after a couple of years they can decide to give State of Origin a crack, if they're good enough. Image if a few years ago when cutie made his decision, the likes of Benji and Sonny Bill decided to do the same. Good onya Benji for going with your heart. As for Teo, well he probably would of never made the kiwi team anyway but still very disappointing. Does he really believe he's an aussie, like cutie tried to make out, I don't think so.
