poor bastard he will probably get dropped from the ODI side and retire there as well..

Not sure if its a good or bad thing having him around the whole Shield season for the blues

I wouldn't be surprised if the floodgates finally opened and he peeled off 10 tons in Shield cricket this summer.... probably end up with most wickets too... and... and... not even a hint of a calf strain or hamstring twinge or back soreness all summer!!

Good win to the Blues

Anything over 200 was gonna be hard to chase down with our pace battery and spin twins

Its a big deal because its never happened to him before, generally he manages to get his pads in the way.

Been happening in club cricket for ages, I've played against a few although they played a considerably higher level in women's cricket, like state cricket.

We're talking about 1st Grade though right ?

I don't think there's any rule against it like there is in contact sports.

When I played a bit in the UK our 2nds team's wicketkeeper was female (I think she was the England Universities XI keeper). Generally went fine as a keeper, struggled with the bat against blokes with a bit of zip (but that's just practice).

So, if there's blokes that aren't quite up to scratch for the Australian Men's team, or indeed, state or local teams, can they go and try out for the Woman's teams?

This is just politically correct dumb shit.
I demand male equality!!

Never have I loved a sport more as a kid and now I cannot cop it.
I too loved the game growing up as a kid, and while i still love the game i really miss the characters and some of the old school legends of my youth. It's not quite the same but i still barely miss a game.

May as well hand over the Matador Cup to the Blues now, every other team blows.
