Play called off, will resume tomorrow with the NZ innings.

We haven't got the runs to pull this off, all that plodding at the top will cost us.

That is a pretty tough pitch to bat on, if we get on the park and the bowlers hit the right areas and get them under pressure we are in with a shot, as we did to them on a seamer in the warm up game. Don’t trust us to hit the right lengths though

Boult will, and Ferguson has a bit of x-factor.

If India are smart they’ll respect them and have 30 overs of plod to ease through, assuming Henry and Neesham spray it around.

Doesn’t work in our favour having to come out fresh and finish either. Taylor had just got going and now he has to start again, still if they can get to 250 or so and the pitch is tricksy then hopefully Boult can rip in.

Yes, still 23 legal balls to go, we should get 230-240 at least.

India come out cold as well.

Does Mooks moonlight as the Black Caps coach? Both the Warriors and BCs are dull to watch, frustrating the faithful.

hopefully this Seifert bloke opens when he's fit again. Guptill and Munro... No no no no no no. Put Nicholls and Latham fightining for a spot in middle order (seifert can keep)

That’s the interesting part of the day for me, with the potential weather risk there will be so many factors running through the captains mind, 20 overs to constitute a match and if the overhead conditions are looking dodgy and he is bowling well I’d be tempted to bowl Boult out up front, however if play went all the way through that would hurt us later

CDG could be very handy on this deck, especially if the Indians try to play him with their egos. He has a knack of getting the big player out in the other team too.
Santner is a top class white ball bowler as well but the Indians know what they are doing against spin

And we all know, particularly from our last match against England, that loose deliveries will cost us.

It's great we have this reserve day. One Day cricket is usually over in 'one day'. I was just looking at some older WC tournaments and noted how rain-affected games went into a second day. I was thinking, 'gee, how thing's have changed?'. But they haven't.

I'm looking forward to this Lockie Ferguson coming on and bowling like a nutter...
