Anyone seen what's going on in the UK.
I am going there in 3 weeks for a wedding. So I have vested interest.
But it seems some lunatic nutjobs have just taken everything into there own hands and trashing the joint.
Do you remember how Black Lives Matters (BLM) and Anti-fascist (Anitfa) ?Peaceful protests were overtaken by bored teenagers and criminals ? Nek minute BLM and Antifa are labeled a terrorist organisation by the far right and used as a political tool. People now imagine that BLM / Antifa have meetings in underground bunkers, plotting the demise of western civilisation.Well according to social media, that about sums it up.
There also seems to be a big push, I assume from paid bots on Twitter, to discourage European countries from taking in any immigrants from Muslim countries.

We’re all being analed by supermarkets and petrol stations acting like cartels.
Qld premier plans to introduce competition at the bowser and expose price gouging. He will build 12 QLD gov owned petrol stations and charge a reasonable margin on the spot price. So if some merkin petrol station is charging 10c/l more up the road, then hopefully people will abandon them. True competition should impact the market.
Love to hear the negative views of this proposal.
So far it’s a shallow political dig of “haha it won’t work”.
Queensland premier floats state-owned petrol stations and cap on fuel price hikes in re-election bid
Queensland Premier Steven Miles says the state-owned fuel stations would operate on a cost recovery basis and would sell petrol and diesel alongside electric vehicle fast chargers.www.abc.net.au

I helped a developer build a shopping center including the servo
It also had an IGA and IGA ran both, and the price of goods sold in the servo was 3 times the price that if they were sold in the supermarket
this is no big secret, it's the price we pay for convenience

Untested, uncosted, unlikely.^^^

Well there are two sides to every proposal it seems.Untested, uncosted, unlikely.
Time will tell. He’s very focused on cost of living. Making a big song and dance about his 50 cent public transport proposal as well.Well there are two sides to every proposal it seems.
The proposal is backed by the RACQ and modelled on the regime in Western Australia, where big companies face $100,000 fines for every breach.
Labor has also promised to build 12 state-run petrol stations, at an initial cost to government of $36 million, to boost competition in poorly serviced areas.
Petrol companies could face $100,000 fines under price regulation plan
With some details still lacking, Queensland’s Labor government is defending its promise to limit fuel price rises and boost competition if re-elected.www.brisbanetimes.com.au

The last thing anyone needs is the govt having more direct co on what we pay for groceries/petrol etc. they need less control not more.
next minute you can only get access to cheaper fuel if you have a health care card, zero demerit points and had 47 covid boosters
