Anyone seen what's going on in the UK.

I am going there in 3 weeks for a wedding. So I have vested interest.

But it seems some lunatic nutjobs have just taken everything into there own hands and trashing the joint.
Well according to social media, that about sums it up.

There also seems to be a big push, I assume from paid bots on Twitter, to discourage European countries from taking in any immigrants from Muslim countries.
Do you remember how Black Lives Matters (BLM) and Anti-fascist (Anitfa) ?Peaceful protests were overtaken by bored teenagers and criminals ? Nek minute BLM and Antifa are labeled a terrorist organisation by the far right and used as a political tool. People now imagine that BLM / Antifa have meetings in underground bunkers, plotting the demise of western civilisation.

Full circle to UK and now similar f**kwits are doing the same, only it’s not the “radical left”.

Honestly, it’s just year 12 muckup day on steroids, where people participating in stupidity grows into a mob riot.

I reckon Jan 6 at the US capital was the same

Remember Joker ? It is actually written using the psychology of the behavioural contagion of a riot.

There are probably Russian bot farms laughing at the stupidity of how westerners are so easily manipulated.

Remember it was shown that during the 2016 US election, russian bot farms arranged meetings of opposing minds at college campuses, hoping that shit will escalate.

And here we go.

========.

Mike Burgess, director general of the Australian Security Intelligence Organization, the country’s main intelligence agency, said tensions in the Middle East, including a conflict between Israel and Hamas that began on Oct. 7, were a contributing factor to raising the threat level.

“The conflict has fueled grievances, promoted protests, undermined social cohesion and elevated intolerance,” he said.

We’re all being analed by supermarkets and petrol stations acting like cartels.

Qld premier plans to introduce competition at the bowser and expose price gouging. He will build 12 QLD gov owned petrol stations and charge a reasonable margin on the spot price. So if some merkin petrol station is charging 10c/l more up the road, then hopefully people will abandon them. True competition should impact the market.

Love to hear the negative views of this proposal.

So far it’s a shallow political dig of “haha it won’t work”.

Never though Miles was bright but good to see him trying something different..

Imagine if the government never sold off all their infrastructure and used it to control inflation.

I helped a developer build a shopping center including the servo

It also had an IGA and IGA ran both, and the price of goods sold in the servo was 3 times the price that if they were sold in the supermarket

this is no big secret, it's the price we pay for convenience

And I bet you did a great job sweeping up the mess and emptying the bins. I reckon next you could put nails in boxes. Packs of 100. You're very intelligent

Untested, uncosted, unlikely.

Well there are two sides to every proposal it seems.

The proposal is backed by the RACQ and modelled on the regime in Western Australia, where big companies face $100,000 fines for every breach.

Labor has also promised to build 12 state-run petrol stations, at an initial cost to government of $36 million, to boost competition in poorly serviced areas.

Time will tell. He’s very focused on cost of living. Making a big song and dance about his 50 cent public transport proposal as well.

The last thing anyone needs is the govt having more direct co on what we pay for groceries/petrol etc. they need less control not more.

next minute you can only get access to cheaper fuel if you have a health care card, zero demerit points and had 47 covid boosters

Not sure they are taking over every as service station just trying to force the major players to compete.

You still have options even if they bring that in which I highly doubt

Paul Keating last night on 7:30 Report.

(Paraphrasing)
If we weren’t strong allies of the United States, who are the most aggressive country in the world, wouldn’t need to be part of AUKUS and spending way too much money on submarines, as nobody would be interested in attacking us.

So he reckons that because we buddy up with the buggest bully, we put a target on our head.

Maybe he is right ? Or maybe Keating has not been part of high level security briefings for decades and needs to STFU ?
