There are so many similar stories by Aussies or Canadians who say, delete your social media, be careful of what you say, otherwise notwithstanding your ESTA visa, they just might lock you up at the border - for reasons. Feels the same as entering Iran or Russia or China or Nth Korea FFS.

Quality piece, by a quality journalist who stands by his reporting.

Why do Roberts-Smith's wealthy backers continue to pour good money after bad on this guy?
what else are they going to do with their money - contribute positively to society?

Renewables are so good and cheap NOT. So many countries are pulling back their haste to go net zero. Anyway, I have decent , new solar panels, and this past month with less sun etc , the bill was double what I expected, friggin clouds and rain.

In the 70s and 80s , even with a mortgage and kids at school, the electricity bill came in and it was hardly noticeable. Thanks Bowen and mates.

Yeah because back then the power system was regulated, and not run for profit over people.

Also 10 years or Liberals in power and encouraging Market Lead solutions means the consumer pays more.

Might behove you to watch a documentary called "Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room" and how pushing for deregulation and market lead responses caused major issues for one of the worlds largest economies.

Haven't seen them bring in any policy to reign in the price increase.
Refer MITS post above, about how we came to be here... Delboy is being disingenuous blaming the ones at the end of the process that wasn't of their own making. Just as it took the Libs decade in power to get us here to a "profit first vs service/consumers last culture", these things take years/a decade to reign in.

Besides which, if you look at the actual data, the largest of price increases % wise was the July 2022 increase the Coalition literally regulated back so as it wasn't announced in May during the election.

( Refer page 6 table for figure 7.5 )
