You're muddying the waters here. Media bias is where (for example) you give airtime to one side of an argument and not the other(s). Fact checking lies is a different thing entirely. Unsure why merkins are outraged TBH, the media has been "fact checking" shit for centuries. It's only since Rupert has been around* that the facts don't seem to be as important as they used to.

Twitter has said that already. Any claims pertaining to "election integrity" will be investigated. Clearly they don't want the 2020 election to replicate the Facebook debacle of 2016.

How does Twitter decide what to fact-check?
A Twitter spokesman said the fact-checked tweets had been singled out because they related to election integrity.

The company had refused to take action on other tweets from the President, which have fuelled a murder conspiracy theory about the death of a former congressional staff member two decades ago.

That's despite the woman's widower pleading with Twitter to remove them for furthering the false claims.

In the case of Twitter though, Jack Dorsey has admitted the majority of his employees are anti-conservative, and whatever Trump's personal politics in sure you'll agree they will be anti him too.

Translation: twitters employees have an average age of 26 and the political leanings in that demographic is atypical of that age group.

Maybe we should be insisting that FoxNews and SkyNews go under the microscope as well.

How about child molesters who have been convicted and then had their conviction overturned? Who gets to check those facts? Can we even know the truth of what happened? Does a court get to decide? If the original decision was overturned how reliable could future decisions be? How do we know the higher court got to the truth?

There are obviously facts, but most of us will never know them, even if we work for a fact checking organisation. A bunch of university employees consulting 'reliable sources' for the truth? Give me a f**king break. "Hey Google..."
