I just think it's incredibly sad that a simple allegation of sexual assault between two young people was not left as that. Cops called, statements taken. Instead US vs THEM sides were created LEFT vs RIGHT political sides ensued, that meant that media and social media biases were activated. Some of the things said about both the male and female are atrocious. The cover-ups, the cleaning of the crime scene, the leaking of txts. The slandering of character.

This can all go on and nobody is accountable. There is no body overseeing this behavior, it all goes on unchecked and people's reputations are worthless in the name of one parties perceived polls.

Higgins and Lehrmann are nothing to the machine. If the incident occured at someone's flat it would all be resolved by now. But because it occurred inside PH on 15 Feb 2021 ~ 2 years and 4 months ago, it is no way near resolved and is being weaponised by both parties to cause as much damage as possible.

The whole thing had a stench about it from the moment Lisa Wilkinson got involved.

I am happy her and the pirate husband are now seen as real germs.

Yeah ... it totally f**ked any chance of a reasonable trial .... and now it turns out Labor was fully aware it was all panning out that way (likely part of it) - and lied about that. But hey, in the end they gave her a nice reward for using her.

The incident occurred in March 2019 but was first reported in the media in 2021

Satire is best when it's not taken too seriously. It's like stand-up comedy. Not everyone will get the joke and sometimes some will be offended. Likewise it will strike a chord with others.

Let's just not get all angry about it, like some do now and crazy merkins have in the past.
