Just heard old mate Barnaby claiming that he saw an indigenous boy handing out Yes voting cards and a white man gave him the finger and told him to f**k off. Apparently that means adding the voice would be divisive. Sounds to me we’re already divided into normal people and complete f**kwits

Kerry Stokes Ch7 last night was again seeding the notion last night that there are sinister secrets behind the voice.

======

An old bloke (70’s) I was talking to on Sat morning raised the topic of the voice. He said he was sick of it being rammed down his throat. He mentioned Ray Martin and said that said Australians don’t like being told what to do.

I sensed that he had made his mind up and didn’t take kindly to “celebrity” opinions making him feel like he’s in the wrong.

I told him, and he agreed, that voting in this referendum is the ultimate opportunity to participate in democracy and that he needs to put aside the noise and vote from his heart for the long term benefit of the country. As it will impact long after both he and I are long gone.

Yeah I saw Sussan Ley say last night on all news channels that she had a heavy heart that the Voice had become so divisive, after spending months telling lies about it and seeding division.

Warning: distressing content

Attacking a peaceful musical festival and killing and kidnapping people was a cowardly and dispicable act.

Dragging bodies of dead German tourists through the street is also inhuman and rubbish.

These people need to be captured and face the justice.

Terrorism at its worst. If it’s supposed to be a political statement, they can shove it up their rpgs

The Americans and their tech are arriving, hopefully they can bring some sanity and peace to the area.

Nothing wrong with Switzerland.

I don’t want any of my stuff used to kill anyone.
The podcast suggests he was sold a dump by Russia who suggested that if he flicked the switch, HE would go down in history as the guy who started WWIII in Crimea. Of course since then Ukraine has bombed the shit out of the Russians in Crimea and no WWIII.

In the end he realised that there was shenanigans and found himself in the uncomfortable position of having to decide who gets what. He didn’t want that.

So he sub-leased access of starlink to the US military and now THEY make the calls. Phew.

Absolutely, however let's not pretend that one side has clean hands. Unbalanced outrage seems to be in hyperspace right now.

Merkins are posting photos of death from the weekend and painting a picture that one side has only ever taken action in self defence.

No doubt this is a boil over and Hamas are merkins, armed by richer merkins. However this shit has been going on for decades.

You can go all the way back to the sixties when Israel took the whole f**king lot.

Since then they have been encroaching causing f**kery.

Then Trump goes and does this ^^^ poking the bear and flicking the middle finger.

Labor have bungled it but I honestly don’t know how the Libs can look at themselves in mirror. They started off sanely questioning the detail (which I totally agreed with) but since then it’s all been about all it will do is divide the country…. By being the ones driving division over it.
It’s likely saying Australia has a problem with alcohol, whilst necking a yard glass of Drambuie.
The rewrite of Barnaby’s anecdote is he is choosing to be one the side of the division that has the bloke flipping off the how to vote kid. Just own it then Barnaby

The Libs will come out of this with a win in politics and that's what matters to them. They drove a wedge, caused a divide and the fall out both internally and internationally will be (in their opinions) forever labor's fault. I see it and I understand politics is a nasty business, but the collateral damage seems to be secondary to them.

As you say, they will have to look themselves in the mirror. This is short term politics and not very brave politics. Yet the long term impacts will be real, as have other recent decisions.

Two sides to every story. Unsure where the truth lies, but this merkin has some valid points.

I am not for either side. I just have a question.

Why does it take terrorists to murder countless innocent people for Palestine supporters to March? If it's a huge issue and has been for years why are they not raising this issue more often and why isn't it all over social media if Israel has been killing innocent people for years?

Social media or at least our social media is very USA centric. Over there they don't say peep about Israel or if you do, you're an antisemite.

The ethnic cleansing and military rule has been described by the UN as apartheid. As the Palestinian guy said in the CNN video ^^^ said, the USA send $$$$$$ every year to Israel to maintain their illegal occupation, yet the same is happening in Ukraine and there seems to backing for Russia in many parts of US.

In the opening dialogue of this interview, this senator from the Thunderbirds spins with joy how Israel will prolly end up with more land out of this and then gaslights about how whenever Israel has given back land, the Palestinians have been "worse off".
