She's had the keys for 20 years. I vote for her as do most commercial owners in the city. She runs a a good office.

I am sure her detractors can find instances to denigrate her, but like her or not, she has the runs on the board.

The "fruitloop" thing must be what you hear on 2GB or read in the Telegraph.
Most of the people that complain about her don't tend to spend much time in the area that she is mayor off

They butchered the roads around Surry Hills with Bike lanes.

I am all for bike lines, however how they did it needed better planning and execution IMO
which road do you frequently use has been affected by the bike lanes?
I used to use the one on Bourke Street a bit when I worked near there and lived close enough to cycle in

Bike lanes have come and go. Some were good choice and others not.

I think Surry Hills is a fabulous place right now and if Bourke and Crown don't get through traffic like they used to, then that's great. It's more like Paddington now, no merkins using it as a rat run.
I remember Crown Street being 2 lanes one way as the main route to get from southern Sydney to the harbour bridge
It is about 10,000 times nicer now

OK I'll bite. What part of Sydney City planning over the past 20 years makes her a fruitloop ?

How about her councils road block to just about every serious development, delays in processing planning and development, and trying to stamp her council authority on design issues in which her council employees have no expertise. eg. Architectural design and planning.
So many developments have been removed from her control by previous govt's and for good reason.

Yes, she has done some good stuff, but not enough for someone in her position, and she has been a massive road block for so much more.

Mate innocent or not how dumb do you have to be... everything she said may be BS but if I was him I would have everything in writing these days...

Hopefully this case doesn't get hijacked by a journo keen to make it all about herself.
Is that the only take you have from the whole saga ?

I would have thought that the swift steam cleaning of the office after finding a half naked staffer by herself dazed and confused, the reprimanding of both junior staffers of using their passes at 3am, the wiping of CCTV tapes, the gas lighting of the victim and the “sides” taken by the media and their overlords. The ensuing court case where the jury was dismissed because on the final (?) day of deliberation, some old merkin brought into the jury room a folder of his own research - which rendered the case a mistrial - was very House of Cards.

Call me a cynic, but Frank Underwood would have been proud.

My point was what did Lisa Wilkinson have to do with what did or didn't happened that night.

She wasn't there and made it all about herself and politicized it before it even went to trial.

Then you have dickheads on the other side attacking the victim.

Both sides then turned it into an absolute public circus that whatever happened at Trial it was never going to be fair for everyone involved.

The whole thing was handled disgracefully from everyone. Its not how those type of serious allegations should be handled in the public arena before it goes to trial.

No one came out of it smelling like roses.

And reinforces how toxic Canberra is.

Agree Canberra is toxic and how real people mean nothing when it comes to the machine.

Also agree that Wilkinson felt that she needed to white knight the situation because #metoo that Higgins won't be believed. Lovely but it went too far and only made it harder for the alleged victim.

Not that her position was entirely unwarranted, based on tweets going around yesterday.
