Argh. How about showing some global leadership ? How about being the champions for change ? FMD if every country puts their feet on the desk and opts to do f**k all, what's going to happen ?

As many have said before, being the Saudi Arabia of coal should not be our aspiration.

Very disappointing.

Yep. Unless you agree with the non-scientific political solution pushed by left wing activist scientists you're a 'denier' of climate change, or of science in general.

Then there's the writers at the Australian, Telegraph and merkins on Sky News (which includes current LNP politicians) who repeatedly state that it's a hoax.

Gronk, got to admire your incessant attempts to convert everyone into green ideologists .

Maybe you can try the same in Tianemen Square, the Taj Mahal, Texas etc , they do far more damage than little old Oz, where our efforts are negligible, even climate scientists state that if our emissions were zero, it would make no difference to the world.

Meanwhile, you rail against HELE coal fired power stations to Lower emissions while we try and get base load power from other sources other than nuclear to allow industry and horror, lower power bills. Please don't reply with the European and Di Matali sourced nonsense where they burn wood from forests as a crutch to say they don't use coal.

I'm not sure what there is to not gain by fixing things. Even small steps. So what if it is a hoax. We been fooled but there is now less plastic and cleaner air. How is this bad?
And why cant we turn our country and economy to benefit by becoming leaders in becoming a green nation. Why must we always follow the leader?
I am sure there is a market for setting up towns that are completely green.

We need to reduce the demand for energy. Force merkins out of cities and back near where the food is grown. Get rid of unnecessary travel, artificial heating and cooling, and the need to have the night time side of the planet constantly lit up like a f**king Christmas tree.

If we're going to do this let's do it properly. Greta wants zero emissions, let's show some leadership. It might even help the xenophobes keep the rate of immigration down.

This is a case of follow the leader. I don't like this attitude in life tbh. If we helped set an example it may snow ball. It is the same when people leave lights and Aircon on while away and say it wont make a difference. Sure it wont but it sets an example for future generations. DONT WASTE

Wouldn't turning GREEN create a shitload of work and jobs?

In your dreams currently. Who do you think the major recycling paper plant was recently opened in Ohio, not Melbourne by the Australian company, because the electricity was 1/3 of the cost here, why do the majority of our manufacturing continually go overseas to places like South Korea and others where wages are basically similar but the coat of base load power is a fraction of what our manufacturers have to pay.

Simple maths and cost logic, and we are a pimple on the worlds pollution index and the Greens and Albanese etc are watching us eat ourselves with self indulgent policies.

It's great advice. Now my daughter's been traumatised by learning about the climate holocaust at school she turns the light off when she leaves a room. It can't hurt the climate or my energy bills.

Well you must live in a bubble if you think that others in your community don’t want meaningful action on climate change and a transition to renewables.

Time and time again, poll after poll the overwhelming majority want this, yet Morrison and Co deflect by saying that they give a crap, yet they clearly do not.

The purposeful transition to renewables and the disincentive for industry to pollute can only lead to commercial certainty (which has been frustratingly lacking for too long), the creation of jobs in a new sector and the byproduct is cleaner environment. Why is it so hard for some to understand?

I cant believe you are comparing the American market to the Australian market based purely on the fact that Ohio used coal for base load power

perhaps the American market is slightly larger than ours, you know, supply and demand and all that shit

everything is cheaper in America
