I would have preferred a pre debate poll analysis, the dead cat bounce honeymoon stat and then what happened after that to justify how she f**ked it.

Dutton would be the same i am surprised he is willing to push this because i reckon there would be more in his closet as well that will come out and expose him.

But what i don't like is the fact the supposed view is that Joyce used his friendship with Albo and got him supposedly to block Airlines like Qatar Airways from getting more flights to and from Australia so Qantas could block competition.

Which means customers are paying more on flights because rival airlines are jacking up the prices due to not having enough slots/flights coming to and from Australia. Or having to use Qantas which is on the nose atm due to piss poor customer service for a long time under the Joyce reign.

While at the same time Albo is getting personal upgrades left, right & centre at Qantas.

Its a poor look.



As Australia exited the COVID-19 pandemic, Qatar Airways applied to add 21 extra weekly flights at Australian airports.

It was hoped to cut air fares at a time costs were soaring, but Qantas opposed it.

There is more to the Qatar thing than just Albo being a mate with Qantas.

The Australian Government are not going to reward Qatar when simultaneously making diplomatic efforts at their human rights violations.

The "never really explained" thing is part if diplomacy FFS. You reject their application, but you can't then go publicly and say that we rejected it because you're all a bunch of arseholes. Honestly, I don't get how journalists don't journalism these days.

If you want to actually look into the matter regarding competition bringing down pricing, Turkish, Canada and Vietnam Airlines have all recently been granted increased flights, with Turkish being granted a whopping 35 flights pw, where Qatar only requested 21 pw.
