Your examples of 'the ATO stop collecting taxes' and Services Australia 'go slow on welfare payments', the people looking after that process would just get replaced by someone who would follow directions. You only need one person to follow the directions to make the other 149,999 redundant.
In fact, you don't need any of the 150.000...you just get one of your own government of the day staff to go and do it.
If all public servants walk out, game over for the government. They simply couldn’t replace them in time to run the country.
We wouldn’t have a country.
