Here's one:

https://www.climatecouncil.org.au/resources/peter-duttons-energy-scheme-everything-you-need-to-know/

Climate Council’s verdict

Peter Dutton’s nuclear energy scheme is an unnecessary distraction from Australia’s proven path towards a clean, affordable, and reliable energy system powered by renewables and storage. We already have the technologies and solutions we need to rapidly transition away from polluting fossil fuels without the extra cost and higher risks of nuclear power. Later is too late: to ensure a safe future for our kids, we need to slash climate pollution and accelerate our momentum on clean energy right now.

Putin lowered the threshold for the use of nuclear weapons yesterday.

Im not sure Biden understands the dangers x

As we know, just before the ukkie invasion, the west sent many delegates to Moscow to try to stop it. Vlad didn’t care.

So the USa, Uk, Canada and others asked Bowen and Albo,to support a motion to accelerate nuclear energy production to reduce emissions, improve energy supply and assist in moving to net zero. Note, they are majority left of centre governments.

Albo and Bowen declined to sign, how absolutely out of touch is the left wing, guess they need Greens support and the idiot Bowen has no capacitor to understand renewables can’t provide base load power 24 hours for some time.

Gronk , no need to cut and paste some long article to support their outdated stance it’s gone past sensible .

Albo and Bowen have too many peeps investigating in solar/wind.

They have gone hard trying to embarrass Dutton on his nuclear plan to also now jump to nuclear.

I can't believe they have f**ked it up so bad and are going to lose the next election.

Our plan will deliver a net-zero electricity grid by 2050 and a strong and resilient economy. It will set our country up for decades to come.

At the front of this next wave of growth will be those communities which host zero-emissions nuclear plants. Not only will local communities benefit from high paying, multi-generational jobs but communities will be empowered to maximise the benefits from hosting an asset of national importance by way of:

A multi-billion dollar facility guaranteeing high-paying jobs for generations to come;
An integrated economic development zone to attract manufacturing, value-add and high-tech industry; and
A regional deal unlocking investment in modern infrastructure, services and community priorities.

A Community Partnership will be formed in each host community, consisting of experienced local representatives, as the focal point for community engagement and to play an important role in planning the future of the region.

This community engagement process will occur alongside a comprehensive site study including detailed technical and economic assessments.

A Federal Coalition Government will initially develop two establishment projects using either small modular reactors or modern larger plants such as the AP1000 or APR1400. They will start producing electricity by 2035 (with small modular reactors) or 2037 (if modern larger plants are found to be the best option).

The Australian Government will own these assets, but form partnerships with experienced nuclear companies to build and operate them.
  • Liddell Power Station, New South Wales
  • Mount Piper Power Station, New South Wales
  • Loy Yang Power Stations, Victoria
  • Tarong Power Station, Queensland
  • Callide Power Station, Queensland
  • Northern Power Station, South Australia (SMR only)
  • Muja Power Station, Western Australia (SMR only)

Vancouver is comparable to Sydney over many levels, HOWEVER I thought Sydney is probably 15 or 20 years ahead of Vancouver. It is often compared and rightly so and if you look at it's rail map, just as extensive as ours (without metro).
I found Vancouver looked like a bigger version then Auckland more then Sydney tbh.

Just my observations when I was there.

Maybe cost of living is a good comparison. Vancouver is one of worst in the world though.

Gronk, as a progressive socialist , what’s your opinion on Senator Mace in the US senate putting up a bill to prevent the transgender Senator from using the female toilets. Says she doesn’t want to be subjected to male genitalia in a female bathroom.

Seems fairly simple to me , given there have been issues and assaults on females and it has support .i wouldn’t want my daughter or granddaughter put in that situation,
